  this article suggests that there are projects being halted, but chelmsford isn't one of them.

  can someone from the uk tell me if this article was written by a reputable and known publisher?

  Wouldn't a bunker be proof that they don't trust in J? I find it hard to believe that they'd create bunkers. That's not their style.

  I dont think a bunker is the correct term, its a secret underground place for carrying on the global preaching campaign when it may be illegal to do so.

  
  

  The JWs are expecting the UN to turn on religion and ban all religious activities sometime in the future. Most religions will comply, only JWs will carry on in secret. This is the reason for the secret underground compartments being secretly built around the world.

  What do the tin foil hat brigade think the bunker is for?

  Secret swinging hot tub parties?

  A government style safe haven for Armageddon?

  A secret tomb to bury all the bethelites once they turn 45 (Logan's run stylee)?

  The theory is that the work will be banned in Europe as it is in Russia and other countries. This is why the secret 7underground bunker was so secret, so much so that all the noise about KHs and all the other changes was to divert attention away from the fact that only 30 or so select workers were allowed near the bunker for months.
  Everybody else at Chelmsford was sent home for a short while until the cover was over.
  I know all this from one security brother who was not allowed near the site but got wind of it.
  Anyway the cover is over, there is supposed to be only one super top secret entrance in and out. I suspect there is another super top secret emergency exit somewhere.
  
  The thinking is that the prophecy of the beast (UN) turning on the harlot (false religion) means that all world governments will agree to BAN ALL RELIGION. The JWs are going to be the only ones who will not stop. Every other religion will stop worshipping their Gods, execpt JWs.
  Most Elders and pioneers will be thrown in prison, but even that wont stop them.
  Every JW who hasnt been caught will meet in secret rooms, we have had lots of pictures and info on this in WTowers recently.
  The global preaching work will not stop even thought the governments will try.
  I suspect there are going to be secret bunkers in many Bethels around the world, that is why most are moving away from cities and in the countries.

  i haven't seen this mentioned yet.

  last year in the uk, shortly after the money grab that everyone had, we had a video and letter (both probably still available from atlantis) appealing for money for the new bethel and slips were handed out etc.

  this means that most uk congregations are sending a regular donation specifically for the chelmsford build.

  its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.

  it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.

  the idea about Witnesses getting better health care is rubbish . ln the US maybe , l can't comment on that , but in the UK where our National Health Service is under funded and struggling .

  I am in the UK. When my wife was giving birth she lost a lot of blood. After the baby was born she wouldnt stop bleeding, the staff ordered a few bags of blood, then they thought they could take it easy.

  I contacted the JW Hospital Liaison Committee and two brothers were at her bedside within the hour. Immediately the standard of health care went up, the JWs made sure of that, they knew exactly what they were talking about, other Doctors were called in and it was made clear that because giving blood was absolutely not an option they had to make her priority, she had the very best medical care to stop the bleeding and high quality care.

  
  

  If they knew they could just pump more blood into her, then they could have carried on with sloppy medical care, Im sorry but its the truth. JWs get the very best medical care.

    Yes the mormons as said are the next best at global preaching. But they are not following the Bible much when it comes to anything else.

    
    

    Which other churches come close to this vast global preaching work that Jesus spoke about? The church of Jesus later day saints is hardly known about at all, they have never called at my door, or many other people around the world. That can not be said of Jws.

  It is my experiences that the JWs do very little of the bible. They do not do anything scriptural. They have a new testament of Jesus. A false new testament. How do we know? Look at their fruits. Really, look at the fruits. No one can name one JW fruit. Everything in JW doctrine is a copy of catholic teachings. Going door to door with a catholic book [the bible] telling everyone that Jehovah is God's true name [coined by a catholic monk] telling people that they are the biblical authority in prophesy and meaning [with a history of less than 200 years] What are the fruits? If it is from God, there would be fruits.
  What's the JW alternative? Try a church has real fruits that have helped billions and billions and billions. Jws have works that have no fruits. NAME A FRUIT, JUST ONE GOOD FRUIT FROM JWs please.
  One good fruit, OK how about the FACT that JWs are the only option fulfilling what Jesus said in Matt 24:14 "This good news of the Kingdom will be preached to all the nations"
  Please tell me another Church who is involved in this global preaching work? Im surprised it hasnt yet been brought up in this thread, go on which option have we all missed which is also involved in a vast global preaching campaign? Oh thats right there isnt any apart from JWs.

  Hello former Brother. I have not read all the posts here, but asked a similar question some time ago. I find that there is so much that the Watchtower have right, but the there are many things that don't sit right as highlighted on this forum. As a result of this, I have no other choice but to lead a double life. On the one hand, I wish to maintain my faith in God and Jesus Christ; as well as my relationships with family and friends by remaining as one of jehovah's witnesses; yet on the other, I can't agree with some of watchtowers teachings and policies. For example, I celebrate my child's birthday with my born in JW wife (on the quiet of course) as believe this to be a matter of conscience. I buy a mothers day card for my wife as believe this to be harmless. If faced with a life threatening situation on blood, I will allow the medical professionals to do what they need to do to save my life, though blood be used as a very last resort. I prefer to simply call myself a Christian when at work as don't like sectarianising my faith. Christians are the name given to the brothers in the first century by divine providence, as written in the book of Acts.

  As a current member, I often write anonymously to the GB in the hope they change some of their policies on matters such as their current shunning policy, child abuse policy, conscientious matters such as the blood issue, celebration of birthdays and so forth.

  I believe the pen is mightier than the sword and hope that the GB budge their iron fisted finger on many of their man made rules and policies. I am by no means perfect, and am a sinner like everyone else, but can maintain my spirituality despite everything. I would rather stick with things for now than simply throw the baby out with the bathwater and leave. I wont allow men's rules to destroy my faith, or my relationships with family and friends. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

  Its not the governing body you need to be writing to, its Jehovah who wrote the bible.

  Maybe try writing a letter to Jehovah to see if he will change the bibles clear view on abstaining from blood.

  PS, Most people dont know, but JWs always get the very best medical treatment. If medical staff know they absolutely can not transfuse blood, then they have to give the very best medical care from the start.

  If they know you are flexible as you say in your post, then you will not get the same respect or high quality treatment. They will probably have a few bags of blood on standby and you will go down the list of priorities.
