  Yeah, yeah ..he seems to have an Alzheimer's early onset breaking that glass....but seriously...if wordly institutions are so evil....why don't WT put a nice college to form doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc.? It's ironic because they need qualified people, as many in this thread have said...and don't tell me that there's no money.

  hi guys, long time without paying a visit to this site.

  today i returned to check a 'gossip' that is running around in brazilian exjw forums.. they are stating that is almost certain they will make a big change in their doctrine maybe this year yet in the annual meeting.

  they say people in warwick were commenting on this.

  From a good source....just one weekly meeting !

  Two hours long, and because of KH consolidation you could choose, midweek or weekend! Also monthly social potlucks, and playgrounds for the little ones !

  Impeached....no,....but the pressure could take a toll and he could eventually resign... it's terrible for the country all that partisan fight, the people are getting tired of people pushing agendas for political purposes and not taking care of the real problems around.

  the watchtower is so short of money because they have to pay for all the upkeep of so many branch offices around the world.because so many of the branch offices are in very poor countries and they are not balancing the budgets.

  We all know here that thanks to the Worlwide JW Charity Effort (TM) they are without money. But, seriously, they are cutting essential stuff, like the art for the Memorial invitations, which is gonna be the same...and selling KH brings money but hurts morale....

  There is this Bible's quote "slaves be obedient to your masters with respect as fear.... as Christ". Of course we don't enforce that, and if the Borg wants to survive it needs to include women as MS, at least. Jesus wouldn't care, I guess. Let's say, new light, Apostle's Paul was an opinion for his time, let's change. But I doubt a change, maybe in one generation , if they're still around.

  Why go back to the Old Testament?

  why do jws insist on still quoting from the old testament to back up some of their wacky ideas?

  such as on blood, beards, abortion, tattoos, etc.

  surely if the mosaic law code was nailed to the torture stake all of its parts were cancelled.

  The answer is an easy one... because, for one thing, Jesus was a Jew and quote extensively from del Old Testament, I think is also known as the Hebrew Bible....just saying

  Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?

  from what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.

  obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.

  can anyone confirm this?.

  Why don't sell all of the KH, all of them. The elders and MS could then rent a very small office in town to keep the little stuff like books and magazines, remember that now they don't need too much space !

  Then the elders could broadcast the meeting to the RF, (make them log to control, of course). THAT SAVES MONEY. Leave physical meetings just for conventions. Just brainstorming.
