Proposed Georgia(USA) Assembly Hall Collected Funds, 3.5 Million Dollars, donated to the World Wide Work
by James Jack infrom 2012 thru 2016, congregations in georgia and alabama collected funds to build a new assembly hall in south atlanta.
to date, 3.5 million dollars was collected and 75 acres was purchased.
the branch decided that this assembly hall was not needed.

Happening right now, US, GB and France are bombing Syria. Last Thursday CIA director said: "A handful of weeks ago, the Russians met their match. A couple of hundred were killed". The US ambassador to the UN said: Russia "will never be our friend, the US will slap them when we need to". The Russian ambassador to the US said a moment ago that "there are gonna be consequences". So maybe the Russians are really weak.

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses always answer questions through the bible?
by MarieChii inhi.. recently i've been researching jehovah's witnesses and their beliefs and found out that they don't believe in blood transfusions.
so, i've asked one of my friends who is a jw as to what is the reason for this, and so far, they had always directed me to a bible verse that is in their bible.. clearly, i wasn't getting anywhere and so far, it's pretty much frustrating to even make my friend give me reasonable reason.
when i was getting somewhere, even a smidgen, they would answer with a question.

Yea, but there's something that always had puzzled me. In Revelation it says something about Kings and Merchaders wailing because Babylon the Great is destroyed, 'in just one hour'. So, why the WT has said that all the political forces, represented as the Beast, are gonna destroy Babylon the Great?.

I put my bet it's about changes in preaching. There's no anymore pressure to get off literature, so preaching could be informal. No more counting hours and other stuff. Saves a lot of bureaucracy at headquarters too. You could be active or inactive. Just saying.

The thing that 'worries' me is the lack of enough 'espiritual food'. I mean it used to be a lot of magazines and books with varied information to keep the RF entertained. Now almost no magazines y almost no new books. It's like they slashed to much the writers department. Their message it's to much reiterative, like the ones on top just give up. Oversimplification could run people away too.

Will the Watchtower Company in the near future start asking for a tithe?

tithing certainly is laced throughout the old testament.
