  Sorry but U can't be baptized!

  if anyone is interested, i have a question about baptism.. i know that in the bible jesus told his disciples to go and gather up all people .

  who were willing to listen and make disciples of them baptizing them etc..etc..etc... so basically there would be a kinda pyramid effect taking place from that moment.

  in time and on until the end of this system of things.

  were to ask a Witness, the only baptism that would be relevant would be one valid only with-in the society. I can’t find any scripture specifying exactly what kind of Baptism is relevant other than a Baptism in the name of the Father The Son and the Holy Sprit. I can’t find anything in reference to exactly who is supposed to perform the Baptism other than Jesus’ disciples.
  I do believe that a person who wishes to be in Jehovah’s favor must get Baptized, But I have always had a problem with the idea that it has to be done only at a convention of witnesses and only under their rules and regulations. I have struggled with that, well somewhat, for years and years and for that reason I never was baptized. Some would say its because I have no faith but I disagree, I have a lot of faith but it just has never been

  are witnesses the only true christians on earth?

  are they the only ones who truly know what it means to be a christian and to apply those principles in their day-to-day life?

  I just read your post and found it very thought provoking. I'm inspired now to go and look up all this stuff and read for myself.

  WillPower.. I know personally of two women who are anointed. They are both in their 70's mid-late. One is my mother. I can remember when anyone who was babtized was considered to be annointed. I don't remember when it changed and became only the 144,000 were considered the annointed ones. I stopped paying attention for a long time. Then obviously started paying attention again.

  Somebody's are fired up! by the time i type this probably 2,000 people will be visiting this topic. Anyone notice? Well it was fun. Everyone is passionate about their views one way or another and we all mean well or we all wouldn't be here Ok. It's quarter night at the bowling alley. i'm getting off my ass and going bowling with my kids. Best of luck to everyone.

  Not quite sweetheart. I do know lots of cops and I'd be glad to tell you to your face anytime. And correct me if i'm wrong but aren't youu sitting on your ass right now?
  You don't know what I do about anything. I have done a lot to help wemon and children of domestic violence and will continue to do so in any way that i can and as someone with expierence,personal expierence as a victommmmm and as a friend of other victoms i know that real help does not come from going to public places and insiting arguments that get every one concerned absoultely nowhere.

  Danni, EXCUUUUUUUSE mme. BUT all you accomplished was to insite an argument.If the story is true, it still only amounts to bunk and my feelings can't get hurt anymore, i'm krzy. I don't know any cop who, and i know a lot!, who would have done that except for maybe a rookie. Sounds like the one that got away. Why don't you put together a real investigation and come back and tell about that? plm

  Shimmer..No, i don't think ypur wrong about that story. I can remember many many times when the elders would come to our house to discuss or "counsil" domestic violence existing in our family,"my father at the time an elder himself, and there are many reasons that have kept me from completely going back, but the story I just read regarding the so called investigation sounds like bunk. If anyone wants to get involved then by all means get involved...don't fake it for what ever reasons.
  plm oh by the way not that anyone would care but plmkrzy is just that. plum crazy and i wouldn't have it any other way.

  Sorry about the caps. I do that because it is easier for me to type and not make spelling errors. Just took keyboarding class at college and didn't like it much. Anyway regarding the "not being allowed to retain relationships with non-believer family members", i've heard that alot but have not personally expierenced it. In fact i still have friends who are still in the "truth" and have no problems as far as associating with them and they associate regularly with thier family's believers or not. What if a husband is and the wife is not? or vice versa? there is quite a lot of that. Anyway some of the posts seem extreem to say the least.

  I’VE BEEN DROPPING IN ON SEVERAL OF THESE DISCUSSIONS FOR SOMETIME NOW. I FIND THEM SOMETIMES INTERESTING AND AMUSING. I WAS SO CALLED ‘BORN IN TO THE TRUTH’ SOME 45 YEARS AGO. MY MOTHER STUDIED WITH, THEN CALLED BIBLE STUDENTS, SOME 60 YEARS AGO WITH HER MOTHER AND FATHER. I WAS NEVER BABTIZED. INSTEAD I RAN OFF AS SOON AS I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO MAKE IT ON MY OWN AND MARRIED A VERY WORLDIE DIRTY OLD MAN AND LIVED LIFE IN THE FAST LANE FOR A WHILE. ANYWAY THE POINT IS I WAS ALSO VERY BITTER TWARDS THE SOCIETY REGARDING SEVERAL ISSUES THAT SEEMED RATHER CONTRADICTORY TO ME, AND IT LEFT A VERY NEGITIVE IMPRINT ON ME FOR A LONG TIME UNTIL ONE DAY I WOKE UP AND REALIZED THAT THESE ARE JUST PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT SAINTS OR SOME HIGHER FORM OF LIFE FORCE, JUST PEOPLE. THEY MAKE MISTAKES AND SOMETIMES BIG ONES. BUT FOR THE MOST PART THEY ARE TRYING TO DO THE BEST THAT THEY CAN TO BE AS CLOSE TO WHAT THEY BELIEVE JEHOVAH WANTS AND EXPECTS OF THEM. I THINK BY CONVINCING YOUR SELF THEY ARE ONLY IN IT FOR $$$$ AND TO USE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD TO GET IT IS RATHER PARRANOID. I HAVE; UNFORTUNATELY, SOME X-FRIENDS AND EX-INLAWS WHO ARE CRACK ADDICTS AND SOME OF THESE REPLIES SOUND AMAZINGLY LIKE THEM. BELIEVE ME I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A SMART ASS OR OFFEND ANYONE AT ALL. I CAN REMEMBER SOUNDING VERY MUCH THE SAME WAY WHEN I HAD A CHIP ON MY SHOULDER. OK, BOMBS AWAY…..
