Dave, when this stuff first happen'd I was brand new to this board. I really wasn't shure what to think about any of it. I got more snooty then I should have and then decided to just forget about it. Couldn't
figure out who was playing what to who. It doesn't really matter
anymore who believed who, I think any way, You were very calm and
together in the way you handled your self and the hole situation
and should pat yourself on the back or whatever Your pretty cool.

Just one thing though after reading all that crap, I got this sick
feeling in my gut. I'm getting all parinoid now afraid someone is
going to be hacking into my computer and messing it up. I'm a little
freaked out about it. Is there anyway they could start screwing with
our e-mails like sending a viris or getting into our personal files
accounts that sort of stuff?

Ok fine I read your reply and I will apologize for seeming mean spirited and spiteful. I actually was feeling mean spirited and spiteful due to your remarks because they tell me that you think of me and anyone else who chooses to listen to Jesus, as Satanic in nature. And that seems to me to be At Least mean spirited and spiteful.
That Is the way I took your remarks. If I misunderstood you then I do apologize.

"Their god" Is Christ Jesus Father. Why would you, if you believe in Jesus being Christ accuse his father, the God of Abraham, of choosing a bunch of Satan worshipers to be his family line? You did in fact say that they practiced satanic rituals and were nothing but a bunch of pagans. And if you believe that Jesus and God are
the same then you would be referring to Jesus as a pagan
god while celebrating him at the same time. This type of scenario would make you hypocritical unless you believe
that Jesus was not who the Bible says he is and if that’s the case then why would you even consider believing in
Jesus at all. There are lots of characters in many other myths and fairy tails you could believe in why not “Jason and the Argonauts” for example?

I am very familiar with the various rituals and practices among different Satanic cults and there is nothing with in the line of Abraham that would justify a "human" to call them Satanic unless they are just simply choosing to re-arrange the history of Christ to sound better to them selves. A lot of people do, I can't say that I don't. I also can't see how you can observe the Passover the way you have said and refer to Jesus father as a pagan god at the same time.
There is no sense in that, at least non-that I can see.

You do what ever is right for you in your own heart. Best wishes.

Will you go to the memorial

i have never missed a memorial in 20 years of being a jw, but this year will be the first one i miss because i refuse to set foot in any kingdom hall.

i was wondering how many that post here will attend the memorial and if so why?.

do you feel pressured into going by family or friends?.

They have no authority (i know! blah blah blah) But really
they have no grounds to df'd you for partaking in the emblems
They cannot tell you what your personal relationship is with
Jesus and if they try to then srew'm and partake anyway.

Yes I will probably never stop believing this or stop
showing that I believe this.
Attending the memorial has nothing to do with JWs.
or a K.H. I will go because I want to go and no one will
discourage me from doing so. I don't care if people shunn
me if I show up I'm not there for them.

Do I feel presured to go?
Absolutely not.

I am becomming more and more comfortable with me every day
and I do pretty much as I damn well please.

A question to people born in the Borg*

I can't remember not knowing either. I lived in the same neighborhood
grew up with all the same kids from kinder thru high sch. Their wer
about 1/2 dozzen other kids thru my school years that were either
JWs or studing with JWs. I never hung around much though we would bump into each other occaisonlly say hi thats about it.
The only time that really sticks out and I remember well was when
I was in the about the 3rd grade maybe 2nd my mom let me have a
party and sent out in invites to all the kids in my class and a few
others that lived near by that were my age.
All of them showed up! their parents were dropping them off and they
all had presents. As soon as I saw the presents they were carrying my
heart sank to the floor. I remember being really imbarrased. My
mom explained to all the kids that this wasn't a birthday party and
the gifts were really nice but I would be returning them. I remember
feeling like they all hated me now. when they all went home they
took their gifts with them iI remember some of the parents were mad because they went shopping for nothing. This one girl in my class was
leaving and handed me the present back and said "I don't care if
it's not your birth day" It was a Mr. Potatoe Head! AWSOME I wanted one of those!. But I never forgot how the other kids treated me after that. There were only a few kids that it didn't matter to. When I went back to school some of the kids made fun of me and ran around shouting to others mocking that I don't celebrate birth days. Then after that it seemed like every kid I would talk to wanted to know "Hey I heard you don't celebrate birthdays, is it true?"
I think I was probably easier for me then it was for others because I only had to go through that for a fairly short period of time because we never moved. The only time it would come up after that was when a new kid moved into the neighborhood.
OH My God.....I just realized how long this is. STop.

the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.

it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.

This has to be some kind of project someone is working on
to accumilate reference material as a type of study aid
for 'Youth' You know in the same manor as they do in the ministry school asignments. Only since the internet has become so powerful
there's and no way to ban teens from logging on so this would we
a sort of teaching tool.

He compared the difficult times to come to "birth pains." (Mt. 24:8)

Women’s birth pains can last any number of hours. Some women are in labor for as little as a few hours, example 3 and other woman experience labor for as long as two days or even longer. The one thing that most have in common is the CONTRACTIONS!
They start out usually long periods apart and the typical or “normal” pattern is the less time there is between contractions the harder and more fierce they become.
To sum it up quick.
There are all kinds of pain
There is other kind of pain people go through that’s just as long and much longer then giving birth.
The only thing that is unique about the pain of giving birth is the sequence of contractions and the anticipation of an event immediately following the pain. Not to mention the periods of rest between the pain.

So another possible way of interpreting that verse could be that the world would experience wars, famine, and earthquakes, ect. ect. ect. in waves. Getting closer and closer together as time goes.
Has anyone researched our history really well as far as periods of time between bad times to date?
