I am a news junkie in the worst way but I will break away for The Surpranos.
there was some really piddily-crap that i remember.. for instance, when i was about 17 toe-rings became popular, and one of the sisters bought one....wore it to the kh during the summer with her sandals.
my best friend in the hall wanted one, which of course caused this huge debate about whether it would be okay 'in jehovah's eyes', and didn't it go against the scripture that counsels women against "bodily adornment", blah-blah-blah.
toe rings??!
Tell someone "happy birthday!" or "Good Luck!"

Realist you have not been able to make accurate assumptions with regard to other posters so why should your assumptions with regard to more important issues be given credibility?
You made an assumption about what news I or Americans are privy to and I base that on your comment:
PS: i have seen US media coverage and european media coverage of the middle east problem. the european is more in depth and way more balanced. what you get in the US is hollywood style coverage which many purpose is to be readily sellable to the public.
lol! You have no idea how silly that is. sweetie I even watch news with subtitles.
problem is that personal involvement can make you blind to resonable solutions because of hate, fear and desire for revenge.
True however do not assume that is the case.
Since you perhaps believe you are not blind to reasonable solutions, what are they?
a man who was pushed too far
patrick henry sherrill, like his fiery revolutionary namesake, was a patriotic american.
after lettering in three sports in high school, he joined the marine corps and became a weapons expert.
Anyone else here ever witness this phenomenon?
Unfortunately
What the manager would do is exploit an employee whom the manager had learned to be easily intimidated--an employee who as a rule was a conscientious, hard-working individual. There are indeed managers who will stoop to any level in order to acheive a coveted promotion.
This seems to be a problem throughout the postal system. I am personally aware of some. They are very small people
BTW, Who wrote that???
I was very surprised by the way it was written. The "socially acceptable" way to present a story like that is to paint the killer as someone who had no reasons for his actions, other then insanity. It?s sad that so many people are eagerly offended by such writing. ?IF? things had been different, and that?s a big if, perhaps there would be no victims, Including Patrick Henry.
There's a thought. Print out the story and send out flyers to all the post offices across the US. lol! wait...na it might get traced back to you and you'd be marked as a terrorist.
one of the questions in the uk at the moment is whether we shoudl have identity cards or not.. the government, who wants them, claims they will "help to prevent terrorism".
spain and the usa both have identity cards and they have had big terrorist attacks.
it's never been explained exactly how they will stop terrorists.. my personal opinion is that they are just another government play to control people, another form of tax (you can bet it will cost us to get them) and i have my doubts as to whether the government could run a large scale it project of that magnitude (given it's track record) and whether the estimated 3bn won't end up many years late and at least 10bn over-budget.
(Hi btw) In many ways the SSN does identify us from cradle to grave as the saying goes
aint that the truth I'm still recovering from the foreclosure of a 300,000 mortgage I never knew I had. It has cost me lots to fight it and finally get it removed from my record. Because someone used my ssn and became me long enough to put me in debt over my head. How would you like to apply for a home loan and find out you already bought one!
