The reason that I asked this question is that I wanted my younger son to understand why my wife and I were so attached to such an organization as the WBTS. By what we have told him of the beliefs held by the Witnesses he thinks they are crazy. I am going to have him listen to a tape that goes into to the "hope" that many of us had concerning 1975. I wanted him to see a large assembly and the influence that it can have in convincing one that the WBTS has the "truth." I guess my son will not be able to see the enormity of the District Assemblies that once was. All the better though, most of us back in the 70s knew what was coming anyway. A house of cards can not stand forever!!!

by podsy1 init has been more than twenty years since i last attended a district assembly.
i have heard that the society no longer has the assemblies at statiums where the crownds would number into the thousands.
instead, they are now held at different assembly halls that the society owns.
