half your children are dead and your still happy?

i have/had a jw friend who has five daughters.. she was a born in as her daughters were also.

two of the daughters are out and have waken up.

My elder father always made it clear, if we were to ever stop serving the organization that he would kick us out of the home as soon as we turned 18. Then he said that if we chose to stop meetings and service during that time that he would ground us and essentially confine us to our rooms. I got dunked at 18 so I wouldn't loose social status in the hall and without an advanced education or worldly friends, what else would I have done? Haven't been active for 30 years and my father says that I am still held by that decision.

i’m watching a restaurant tv show and i’m getting hungry 🐷...i think i would enjoy a prime rib end cut with buttered baked potato and definitely a greek salad with plenty of feta as the first course..

Watchtower volunteer injuries

i was recently talking with a zealous 'sister' who for years was assigned to use a certain chemical while taking care of wt property, only to have it irreparably damage her immune system partly because she wasn't trained properly.

she said there was a potential lawsuit but she didn't want to bring reproach on jehovah's organization.

has anybody else heard of similar situations, of people being hurt or injured in service to the org, maybe even because of them, and taking the loss so the org wouldn't look bad?.

During a quick build in Vegas back in the 80's, a teenager was riding in the back of a pick-up transporting supplies. The truck hit a bump at a decent rate of speed and he was tossed and died due to his injuries. I know the brother driving the pick-up was so shaken up and understandably so, I am not sure what came of it or if there was any compensation or lawsuit. I was already inactive at this point.

a regular guy went into a vape store in georgia recently, to buy his wife some liquid for her e-cigarettes.

his big mistake was to wear a trump t-shirt.

the shop assistant went completely mental because of the t-shirt.. the customer remained calm throughout and eventually got the product he wanted (i think).. but what a scene!
