a lot of my ex fellow servants must be now in their seventies, what can you do?.

no children no money no home.

it is so sad.. so many decided not to have children as the end was right around the corner and that was decades ago.

absolutely--the safety net of Uk social security. Makes no difference if the claimant has never worked a day in their lives...which is a fact in many parts of the UK.

here I the UK many brothers and sisters claim they are not well, they get sick pay called personal independent payments so don’t ever have to work. Everyone can get it you didn’t have to pay anything into the system. This is why so many want to come to the UK and claim asylum

it terrible to see so many in the congregations jumping in the cart when the rest of us are expected to push the cart

This is why these young guys can go so long as upstanding dubs with no history of immorality/fornication/getting in trouble with girls etc There's virtually no way a presentable, intelligent, straight guy can make it to his 30s within the JWs without a whiff of pre marital fumbling around for goodness sakes!!

OK you can get the occasional super spiritual dude who trully loves God who in any other religion would have become a priest or a monk/brother in a monastery etc....but it's rare nowadays in the witnesses, especially as it's getting harder and harder to take the religion seriously.

this is a good point. The reason so many pedos are made in many religions is because of sexual repression. All these priests trying to be celibate and then they end up molesting boys.

it’s not healthy for young brothers to stay celibate and not allowed to wank or anything

if they continue with the rule that only fully vaxed can go back to the hall then i could have stayed on zoom.

but the term fully vaxed is a moving target, if it’s been like six months since your last shot you are just the same as those of us who are unvaxed .

How are full-time JW volunteers to prepare for elderly retirement??? They cannot.

special pioneers are very well taken care of they never lose their allowance even when they get old and can only do 15min incriminates

they get old age state pension plus their allowance from the branch

i was in bethel for years early 2000s and was heavily involved with brd from start to finish .

im current elder in one of the congregations in london.

what i’ve noticed is huge changes since covid .

Were you still there in Bethel around 2009 when some elders were disfellowshiped for "apostasy"? I remember there were maybe 4 of them and the issues were similar than in 1980 in Brooklyn, that everyone should partake etc.

i also know a younger brother called Dale Warren who was closely involved with the group but last min left them and “stayed faithful to Jehovah”

mikexjw---have you had covid ?

Yes I had it once but it wasn’t too bad because I am unvaxed

im sure if I was fully vaxed it would have been much worse as my immune system would have been compromised
