New and improved?

i have a family member who had been df'ed for 15 years or so...recently they reinstated as a jw.

when i asked what motivated them to make that decision, the response was to be able to see family and old friends.

they insisted that things were different now.

I’m a PIMO elder and I can confirm the Borg have changed immensely of late

i also worked my ass off pioneering getting 90hrs month, all the pioneers have had no hour requirements for a few years now and talk is a gentle brining it back in, even if they do most pioneers lie and don’t get anywhere near that amount of hours.

going back to door to door will be gentle as well, maybe 15 mins walking round knocking a door or two then coffee or nice walk in the park

its just a social meet up for most a chance to chat

this is what Zoom was all about really hardly any letters were written and now almost none, I know this because nobody is asking for more territory

its much easier being being in the cong these days, I often wonder how many are like me pimo but staying in for the socialising

im also very very interested to see what happens over the next few years as the current GB get older and start dying off

in the past we hardly knew if a GB me ever died but now we see them all every month and it’s really in your face

what will happen when the numbers slowly go down will they actually get new younger members? If they do it will be very discouraging for those who thought this was the last few to die off

A new generation of anointed that will not pass away.

obviously, the older “ anointed ” from 1914 died.

and because they were anointed, they hopefully went to heaven.

in the first century though, a newer generation did not replace the old.

So when is the actual latest deadline with the overlapping new light?

some who saw 1914 died in the 1990s and those born just before that could be considered overlappers?

i was born in the 1970s so there could technically be new members of the GB younger than me????????

they have bought themselves a lot of time with this clever new light

Which studies? All studies show they are not safe or affective. The latest study from Thailand shows these experimental injections are very dangerous

don't know how to quote from earlier posts but regarding his lawsuits there's no way it can go anywhere it just wouldn't stand up in court yes we know he's filed it but after the filing is when things start to happen or in this case simply dismissed, and his lawyer has probably told him this so he's thinking if he keeps quiet it will all just go away that's what he thinks but he's got alot to learn

I’m an elder and I notice more and more layers of security on confidential material

when I sign into my jw account I know there are imprint security in my personal account so if I screenshot or send to someone then it could be linked back to me

they have software wiz kids working at fish hill which is the IT capital of bethel world headquarters, now they are fiercely going after any moles

I sometimes will send inside info to deserving sources as soon as it’s released but we both know about cleaning the material first so there is no way it can be traced from source

but I know some of the amazing young minds at fishgill in NY May be working on ways to find the source

Reading through this old thread it makes even more sense a decade later.

now we have Brother Kennith Cook, is he now the youngest member of the GB?

there are problems with more younger members suddenly coming out as having a heavenly hope. Does that mean other ones chosen before 1935 lost their hope of going to heaven?

I know of a young Elder who is fairly new in the truth and has tattoos who says he and his wife are anointed but their son has just been disfellowshiped for being gay. Would Jehovah really chose them as 144000, this is the question many in the cong are asking.

the big question I have is will this current GB slowly die off over the next decade or so even 20 years maybe for the youngest members but they all look unhealthy and over fed.

how can they possibly justify newer younger members even with the overlapping new light?

we are now getting close to the overlappers getting to old soon?????

No pension no preparation for retirement

a lot of my ex fellow servants must be now in their seventies, what can you do?.

no children no money no home.

it is so sad.. so many decided not to have children as the end was right around the corner and that was decades ago.

I don’t think the elders really care about helping the poor jws anyway. It cramps their style and they can’t count the time.

I know of an old couple living so frugal they only have their state pension. Yet they still give £100 month to the world wide work.

they are struggling with bills, with the cost of living crisis getting worse I suggested they cut back to only £50 month donations (it was difficult to even say that as they are due hards him the faith)

their answer was no, think of all those brothers struggling for food and housing we are from a rich country and want to help them.

I couldn’t bring myself to say it because I don’t want anyone to know I’m PIMO. But do donations to the worldwide work go towards any JWs who are in poverty?

the answer is no. But the donations do go towards GB members and top dogs holidays flying first class and staying in posh hotels. I can say this with confidence. When I was in Bethel I know of a few branch visits of top dogs and I overheard that after his talks and his visit he and his wife went to a top hotel eating and drinking expensive food all paid for by the branch
