Explain the Anthony Morris thing to me

ok, so can someone explain with relative brevity what the anthony morris thing is all about.

i certainly don't miss the guy but would like as valid of an explanation as possible without a bunch of paranoid conspiracies that no one can verify.

as best as i can tell from cryptic comments on here is he is no longer on the gb but in a congregation in the carolinas somewhere.

In a nutshell we don’t know the reasons why but he has been kicked out and a brief announcement that was hard to find on the website

they are slowly deleting a lot of his content but there is so much over the decades

the Borg bought him a couple of houses and he is obviously being paid to sign a non disclosure but that is only speculation

for decades, critics have pointed out the unfairness of god slaughtering billions in a future armageddon who never even met a jw much less heard their life-saving message.

(remember the contortions around the collective responsibility of nations?

) also, why do babies and children have to die simply because their parents rejected the witnesses?

It is clear they are saying there is no difference between those alive at Armageddon to everyone who has died throughout all of history. This is very very clearly the new light,

there will be a resurrection of the unrighteous and if you are alive or die before it makes no difference

it is stupid new light, but it is definitely what they say. The earth is no way large enough for billions to survive Armageddon and then for many more billions to be resurrected.

I remember back in the 80s and 90s around peak JW many ‘false religious’ meeting places were going down in numbers, the JWs were going up.

they often bought other places of worship as other sects were downsizing and the JWs needed larger places.

now it seems to be the opposite

New light on shunning?

one theory why tony was booted out was because he was a stickler for not changing the shunning doctrine.

he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .

what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.

This is so true. There is a scale of 1-100.

100 is total belief in everything the GB says is from Jehovah and is true. These would shun everyone the GB tells them to.

Hardly anyone is up near 100 these days, even the staunch PIMIs are less than 90 and these are few and far between. These would shun most most people they were told to unless it was a loved one then if it was a very close loved one they would certainly think twice about obeying the GBs direction to shun.

The majority of most congregations are at about 50. They think the GB are doing their best but they may be wrong about lots of things like 1914. They would not shun loved ones close to them if the GB directed them to and they probably won’t shun others either if they are good people.

The rest are well below 50 on the scale and they know in their heart that the GB are almost certainly wrong about almost everything. They will not obey the GB directions to shun anyone they will think for themselves
