  i am working on a paper about the suicide and economic index of happiness, reuters shoots her death, pass my desk, "sh*t , i think" life can be so brutal.

  with this in mind, i would like to ask you if you are happy, with your current life, if not are you working towards it?

  there is a decent size group of ex-jws and jws who have "checked out of this existence" mentally, and allow shi**y people to screw their brains up.

  I have 18 non witness relatives and 8 relatives that are JW. and I've gotta say, the statement above is Spot On with regards to the 8 Jdub relative's I have.

  They're so Greedy, its isn't even funny. They're a Bunch of Self Employed Rip off Artists. One of them, (my uncle) is a real super duper JBot Type and he once charged an old widowed Lady at least double to build a deck in her back yard. He asked for CASH only ofcourse and made 2,400$ over a weekend. Paid his helper Like 8 bucks an hour........ CheapSkate! Total F***king Hypocrit.

  Elder's wives

  i still go to meetings (sometimes) mostly to acompany my wife and kids.

  i have known of jw friends of mine that have gone to elder's for family problems, dispute's with other cult member's or those hemroid's that just won't clear up.

  whatever.... i personally never ever told an elder or elder's a stitch of info about my personal life or trouble's etc.

  I agree. Not all Elder's or their wives spill the Beans and have some dignity. There are a good amount that take their responsibility very seriously. I think the wives can keep secrets better than them! I should have named this thread, "Some Elders have a big mouth" instead LoL.

  But Still, I would never take that chance and tell anyone my private stuff.

I have known of JW friends of mine that have gone to Elder's for family problems, dispute's with other cult member's or those hemroid's that just won't clear up. Whatever.... I personally never ever told an Elder or Elder's a stitch of info about my personal life or trouble's etc. Is it just me or did you ever get the suspision that anything that was told to the Elder's in Confidence was eventualy spilled to their wives and eventually the entire eastern seaboard? Not trying to sound sexist. the Elder's themselves have just as big a mouth as their wives.

  Your advice please on "Scriptual Divorce"

  my ex and i have a legal divorce.. she asked me to write a letter to the b.o.e so she can get a scriptual divorce.. she said she had spoken to the c.o.b.e ans they would take no action against me as i haven't been to a meeting in about 12 years.. my reply "ok get him to put that in writing".

  so do you think they will put that in writing?.

  and would they take action if i did write the letter giveing her a scriptual divorce?.

  NEVER PUT ANYTHING IN WRITING THAT ADMITS YOU DID ANYTHING. Especially to Elders. That is quite a humiliating thing to do if you ask me!

  Clear distinction of people on JWN

  this has been an interesting science project to say the least.

  here is what i have learned:.

  you have about 6 types of people posting on jwn, they all fit into a profile.. #1 you have people like me that ran the race, exemplified conduct while in the jw cult and learned through observation that there was a severe disconnect between truth, and the jw cult's statements.
