hi i am new to posting on this forum, i posted my first post today .
some people are concerned i may have shared too much in my post and are worried this could get me in trouble.
saying that, if the elders are searching on here, there is a chance that my letter could be found, and my comments used to incriminate me.
so as many know....ive been df'd goin on 19 years already.

MZ - you're missing the point. The point really has nothing to do with the beard, rather that criticising the beard was the first thing the elder chose to do.
Why did he not take the opportunity to be encouraging, upbuilding? No, the first thing they resort to is a nit picking critcism.

:)
i decided to write the following letter to my wife after years of frustration.
it was the only way i could express my feelings to her.
so far i have had a mixed reaction from her which i can later tell you about.
TBH. If I felt that was the only way I could communicate with my wife I would be giving it up as a bad job and running for the hills :(
i have been reading in facebook that there is a new society's order for destroying all documents concerning cases of pedophilia in all congregations.
is it true that the elders have received such an order?
?
Oh,so it's only the Elders' only personal notes to be destroyed?? Thanks for that clarification.
But still, following WBTS rules over the law to destroy ''personal notes as evidence''. Lawyers and jurors will ask ''WHY''. That'll put interrogated ones on a very tough place.
Asked and answered, they destroy the personal notes because keeping them would be against the law. It's a non issue.
this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.
the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.
i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.
I'm still absolutely Christian in the sense of "Do to others as you would have them do to you" but it's not a requirement to belong to a secular denomination to do that. I don't understand why people feel they have to go to some meeting or building on a regular basis to remind them that they're supposed to be nice to each other. Just do the right thing! You already know how God want's you to act.
I hope I try and act like that anyway - nothing to do with God.
you know how you go to the mid-week meeting & it is all about field service, how you can improve, do more etc.
do you remember how they would say things like..... "you get up brothers & you really don't feel like going out today, you look out of the window & the weathers just not good, then you look in the mirror & you say to yourself, i don't feel so good today.
you know your looking for an excuse not to go cause it's tough to get motivated on your 1 day off.
There's a few documented changes between the original WT and the bound volume.
For instance, when talking about armagedon, changing, 'in the 20th century' to 'in our day' - think that was late 80s.
today i am working on writing my disassociation letter.
i successfully faded a year ago.
but i feel like i can't keep looking over my shoulder anymore i just need to be completely rid of this cult.. any suggestions on letter and it's content?.
Looking at it objectively, although I'm sure places like this can be a benefit to people wanting to stop being a JW, the last couple of weeks on here has shown that it can turn a very simple process of stopping going into an overly complex, dramatic and bitter process.
The OP seems to be a good example of this.
