okay so here goes...this is my first time on here.
i'm lost and confused and am feeling very hopeless.
i was dfed in september and i am still wrapping my head around everything.
Maybe throw yourself in to work and try to extend your social circle in that direction.

part 1 - protein functional redundancy...part 2 - dna functional redundancy...part 3 - ervs.
the rule in gene survival is "use it or lose it".. when a gene ceases to be useful, mutations are likely to accumulate as they are passed on down the generations.
these broken genes are called pseudogenes and they provide powerful clues to our evolutionary past.. compared with other animals our ability to detect odours is poor, but if evolution is correct there was a time in our distant past when we relied on our sense of smell much more than we do today.. our olfactory receptors are coded for by or genes.
part 1 - protein functional redundancy.... part 2 - dna functional redundancy.... imagine you are teacher with suspicions that some of your pupils have been copying from each other.
comparing the correct answers in all of their assignments might not provide conclusive evidence.
they could simply claim they had all carefully revised the same textbooks so it shouldn't be surprising that they all gave the same answers.
@ Clambake
Should we all PM you before we post then? Just to make sure that the subject we choose falls within your accepted subject range?
i have been thinking, it is a lonely place in the real world knowing ttatt but if we have a phrase we can unite, support and help each other.
the question we will ask is:.
what's your favorite bible verse?
Columb? Have you got a code in de doze?
We could always say 'just one more thing ...'

Remember when you were a little dub and you would litter the world with your watchtower magazines thinking you making a difference. Your daily evolution thread is becoming quite redundant complete with the same arrogance of most relentless uber pioneer.
If anyone is truly interested in the subject enroll in your local university or read a book because this is all becoming quite annoying.
You could always start some threads showing the evidence for creationism.
Oh...
sorry if this has been discussed before.... for a few days now, this question has been going through my mind.
what was the date the governing body took the sole role of the faithful and discreet slave and how close was it to the end of the mayan calendar in december of 2012?
i looked it up on jwfactes.com and sure enough, checkout the date on this article:.
I was born the day man landed on the moon. I mean, what are the odds of that! Can't be a coincidence!
My car registration is KG15 XAT. Imagine, out of all the number/letter combinations there are it had to be that one. Can't be a coincidence.

seems to be quite a few posters recently pulling down the beliefs of jw's as not biblical or truly christian.
maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, i really don't care.. in some important ways though mainstream christians often behave better than jehovah's witnesses; most don't practice shunning or impose lethal medical prohibitions on their members.
many are far more tolerant of the lgbt community and a few even make the awkward attempt to square the fact of evolution with their faith.. please note that i'm saying some, not all.. so i suppose it's fair to say that differing forms of christianity can be better or worse for individuals, families and the wider community.
You can point at all the different world events you like - none of them either prove nor disprove a theist God, or a devil come to that.
For you to ascribe them to a god or to a devil is only indicative of your state of mind - nothing to do with reality.
in the first thread in this series we looked at how the same protein molecule can be assembled by many different sequences of amino acids.. we took the example of cytochrome c and saw that there are many times more possible sequences than atoms in the known universe.
however the sequences in humans and chimps are identical, and as we look at species less closely related to us by evolution the more differences we find.
this is very compelling evidence for common ancestry.. in this post we are going to look more closely at the dna code behind those amino acid sequences.. the "language" of dna is made up of just 4 "letters" - a,c,g and t.. sequences of letters are read off in groups of 3 called codons.. acggcctcgaatgccttc would be read as acg gcc tcg aat gcc ttc.
Deepak Chopra said this about evolution.
Darwin's theory of evolution is an enormous over-simplification. It's helpful if you want to connect the dots and understand the interrelatedness of life on the planet -- and it's simple enough to teach to children between recess and lunch. But it fails to capture the driving force and what's rea
Ahh, another nutter acording to wiki :)
Or perhaps not, I wish I could charge gullible patients a small fortune for handing out a placebo.

I am only 9 hours into those Kent Hovind videos from the last thread
Only another 6 to go then.
