When I was a teenager the GB were almost god like, etheral and held in awe.
Now they have Stephen Lett on the internet.
when i was an all-in, younger, somewhat uber-dub - i envisioned the governing body as spending 16 to 18 hours a day at the bethel library, with their noses in the bible and associated research books.
sky-j was propelling his holy spirit directly at them, maybe opening the book to the right page or paragraph, and zap, new light.. when i learned that these dudes only met on wednesday mornings, for as little as 10 minutes, and spent the rest of their time managing and traveling, it was quite a letdown.. anyone have such thoughts of our guardians of doctrine?.

any chance of people resisting the urge to start new threads when the subject is already being discussed?.
the prince threads are a good example.
instead of one interesting to read thread with lots of replies you end up with forty threads with one or two replies.

they are doing it again.. a new group trying to boost membership is adding people without permission.. "ex-jehovah's witnesses aka behind the veil of jw.org" added me this afternoon.
they were bragging about how quickly they grew to over 2000 members.
i quickly exited the group.
2 questions remain in the passing of brother prince:.
will an autopsy, that won't be made available for several weeks, reveal that he died of a drug overdose?.
did prince bequeath a large sum of money to watchtower corporation upon his passing?.

music: both rap and heavy metal music have recently come under increasing fire for similar content problems.
songs that glorify the sexual degradation and abuse of women, violence and hatred toward various races and policemen, and even satanism have all been found among rap and heavy metal records.
so, talking with my wife yesterday.
she was out cart witnessing (barf) and one of the people she was with claimed to have know prince, or meet him or something like that.
well anyways...they or her or someone (they are all braindoogled) speculated or fantasized that since prince did not have any relatives or something or the other.
It will be quite amusing if he has. That means he may have also left them the royalty rights for his songs....
So you'll have the WTS earning money from songs including Gett off, Sexy MF, I love you in me, the list goes on. :D

If you are caught at more than 30 mph over the limit you get a 28 day ban minimum!
That certainly used to be the case but probably less true now. If there was some aggravating factors it could happen.
You did well getting a FPN for 98 - 96 is the limit for an FPN iirc.

Uk motorways are probably the safest roads in tbe world. Speed doesn't kill. It's inappropriate speed that's an issue.
Why shouldn't cars be capable of 120mph - that's a perfectly reasonable speed in the right circumstances.

80-85?
On a uk motorway you'd be getting flashed to get out of the bloody way ;)
hiccups are a weird phenomena.
they are a combination of two involuntary actions - firstly a rapid inhalation of breath followed 35 milliseconds later by the glottis at the back of the throat suddenly closing off our airway.. our normal breathing is controlled by a "central pattern generator" in a small region of the brain stem close to the boundary with the spinal cord.
a signal is sent along the vagus and phrenic nerves resulting in a rhythmic contraction of muscles in chest, diaphragm and throat.. these nerves branch off right at the top of the spinal cord and follow a convoluted path through the chest cavity.
