Well then, I suppose that settles it. Evolutionists would never falsify their works.
Good job scientific papers are subject to peer review then isn't it?
If only the bible was as well.

so it has been a couple of months since me and my family have attended a meeting.
we have received a few calls and visits.
but what do you say when people ask "where have you been"?
Be non-comittal - talk but don't say anything.
You've been busy at work/strugling to find time/etc.
Don't admit to doubts, don't have any discussions on 'spirituality'. They will go away.
i'm a middle aged man.
i dated a jw lady for 3 months ., we never had sex, just made out , half naked , well everything except underwear .
she has been a jw for 40 years ., was married to a jw but he committed adultery 13 years ago so they divorced .
Unfortunately you're on to a loser either way.
Option 1 - she stays a witness and either gets DF'd - in which case you'll be resented by her and her family for ever more - or marries you and becomes, in their eyes, 'unevenly yoked' - in which case you'll be resented by her and her family for ever more (spot the pattern?).
Option 2 - she moves in and gets DF'd and you'll be resented....well, you get the picture.
Life's too short for this - move on and find someone not screwed up by a cult.
Good luck.

Well, it all boils down to one question really?
Is she fit?
;)
hi guys - new poster here.
i was brought up a jw in the uk and stopped going not long after i was married.
that was 20 years ago so i'm not really up to date with the current doctrinal flip flops or the new youtube obsessed gb.. came across this site while googling the name of a local elder who's just been convicted of possesion of a pc full of unpleasant pics of kids.. so, my question.
I still stand by it tbh. I struggle to understand why people put themselves through the grind of being a good JW when they don't believe a word of it. I can understand the not wanting to upset any family that are still going but the innate dishonesty of not being myself would be too much for me.
Right now though, it's not super-high priority so don't be expecting it in the next few weeks!
Slacker!

I seem to have acquired my very own internet stalker.
Kewl :)
does anyone know the present members of the british branch committee?.
Ron Drage - now there's a blast from the past.,
i'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.
WMF, It's obvious you dislike people who have a belief, but Believer is not trying you to believe what she believes at all. It is in no way a recruitment drive. If you feel people are pressuring you to do something by what they are expressing then just don't read it. You are jumping to stupid conclusions without any hard evidence.
Believer, I welcome you here to this board to discuss anything JW related or belief in God. I am here to support you if you need it and so are many others.

I can just imagine you patting someones hand as you're talking to them.
It's unbearably patronising.
sometimes it's hard to know if our own experience of jws was typical and what features were peculiar to our own area or the individual jws we knew personally.
i was wondering if others experienced this among jws:.
a few times on the ministry, when we were working wealthy areas with large houses, some brothers and sisters would make the comment that they look forward to taking ownership of one of these big houses after armageddon, when the worldly people have vacated them.
No never. And I think anyone that came out with a statement like that would have been looked at very strangely.
