  What would you say to the HH if you could?

  ok so there's no other jws in earshot and your on the ministry, the hh comes to the door, what would you say to them about jws if you could?.

  would you explain why your there when you don't want to be?.

  would you warn them about it being a cult?.

  Now that this man is found innocent. What is everyone's opinion should be his relationship with Watchtower and the local congregation. Since he is not a child molester should he be allowed to be reinstated and appointed?

  I'm not sure what the WTS guidelines are in this situation - I suspect they treat the JC as totally independent of the court case and that he will stay disfellowshipped.

  That said, according to the article and what the girls said he did, I'm not sure that fits the category of the 'gross sin' as regards the WTS.

  i was at the meeting last night and the dreadful video about caleb and sparlock was forced upon the audience.

  honestly, i had forgotten how bad it was.

  the mother's manipulative over-reaction and caleb's acceptance that his toy was evil.

  I was outside on car park duty. A much coveted position of service in our hall, even the cold and snow is preferable to sitting in that blicks.

  Her presentations are professional, well-scripted and laugh-out-loud hilarious - even nonJWs find her work interesting and funny. Highly recommended!

  Perhaps more so as she doesn't let being an ex-jw define her.

  How much money people usually donate to WT ?

  i grew up in the org and never got baptised, however i was wondering recently about how much money my family and old friends are wasting in all that.

  .

  i remember of course never talking in amounts, that it was important to give from what you can not what you have etc but i admit i have no clue how much the average witness gives (say in % of their income).. i'm sure it varies greatly, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say..

  I used to donate about 100.00 per month.

  Now I donate around around twenty times that amount as a Christian and never seem to miss it.

  so i was checking out the website to see what the february broadcast was all about before i watched it with my jw wife.. on the front page was this video.... https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/vodbible/pub-jwbai_201607_1_video.

  i watched it and pretended i had never been a jw.. if you pretend you don't understand their particular language it makes for a interesting (if not vague) watch.. btw i've seen several of the actors before.

  What has been your own personal experience of shunning?

  i am interested in finding out on a small scale the extent of which shunning has impacted on you personally.. my own experience is that when i faded about 12 years ago.

  the woman whose house the book study was held at (and who was virtually a neighbour) walked right past me in my own street.

  i remember it so well.

  Is the Mid Week Meeting shorter or longer than before they stopped doing the book study at homes?

  thanks - it sounds totally different from what it used to be like when I went. I didn't think it was possible to make it worse but it sounds as though they've had a bloody good go.

  I think the problem your up against Perry is that most people on this forum have actually read the book and realise its a crock of @$#@.

  Maybe you should campaign in countries where information is not so readily available and you may get a better growth rate in followers--- thats what Watchtower do

  So what does the midweek meeting consist of now? When I went it was the school, which was the 1,2,3,4, and fifth talks (I think) and then the KM. It lasted about 1.45.
