Jehovah's Witnesses: A Clear Decline
by Hadriel init is rather clear that the internet is to put it mildly, wrecking the world of the watchtower bible & tract society.
if not for foreign language i doubt there would be much growth at all.. digital trends and analytics are very real.
i live this analytics world i assure you to some degree you can take it to the bank.

I believe they truly will decline and it will be apparent, not only to us, but to outsiders as well. We need to remember, that although the internet has been available for sometime, mobile internet has not. Most in the past would never seek a desk pc and start researching the Watchtower unless they were on a mission. Today, we pull out our phones on a whim. In the past, the Watchtower was always that religion that claimed to be Christian, but was somewhat shrouded in mystery. "Maybe we have misunderstood them." "Maybe I should check out that Kingdom Hall to find out what they are all about." Or, "Maybe I can have a study and ask questions." Those days are over. The smartphone is what is killing them. The mystery that surrounds them is over. It was the smartphone that took me out and took me out fast. The ability to read hours at a time without family knowing, was the end for me. And it will be the end for most escapees. -

What's the point?
by punkofnice ini mean, i don't want to be miserable or anything, but what's the bloody point of it all?.
since i left the watchtower cult, i have come to realise that god cannot possibly exist...and if a god exists...god is indifferent to humankind as the least.. in 100 years time i'll be gone.
kaput.

The apostle Paul felt the same way.
1 Corinthians: 15. 32. If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."

Every word they say, Every move they make. ( I know it sounds like a Police song), is for the selfish benefit of that piece of crap organization. If they have an article about kindness, the goal is just to improve the image of the Watchtower. "Marry in the Lord"= Marry in the Watchtower. Why? It is all about trapping and indoctrinating even more the people in its grips. But the long range goal is procreation. Having children to indoctrinate them so that later, they can feed those useless piles of dog doo known as the gb. 💩 -

Do you still believe in God?
by FormerlySandL ini never thought i would admit it, but i don't.
i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.
as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

First off. I love that website! It isn't just "what people believed at the dawn of science". Many scientists feel the same way today. These scientists are "real scientists". Those early scientists would probably still believe in God, because now we know that we and the universe are incomprehendibly complex. Even Darwin was stumped by what he seen. He probably would not of even come up with such nonsense if he knew just how complex life is. You are a part of a much larger indoctrination. One of the biggest scams the world has ever seen.
"Quotations (such as have point and lack triteness) from the great old authors are an act of reverence on the part of the quoter, and a blessing to a public grown superficial and external."

lf evolution is true then doesnt it make sense that other life forms exist on far away planets.?
by atomant injust thought ld throw it out there for discussion.lf we evolved from nothing doesnt it stand to reason that other life forms also evolved from nothing?l mean lets face it time is infinite.
so given enough time its possible for anything to happen isnt it?

Atomant: I don't agree with you being simplistic or ignorant. The people on this forum can be asinine about technicalities that they have lost common sense and can't read between the lines. All you are really asking is, if abiogenesis AND evolution are true, then shouldn't it be common or at least happening in other parts of the universe?
The fact is some believe God started evolution. Some believe the universe always existed. Some think aliens planted life here. But most don't. So the assumption is to lump Both abiogenesis AND evolution together. But I knew what you were asking. You've got to understand this place is like walking on eggshells. Intelligence runs high here. Emotional IQ... Not so much.

Sorry Cofty. But I am in the company of the giants.
“As we conquer peak after peak we see in front of us regions full of interest and beauty, but we do not see our goal, we do not see the horizon; in the distance tower still higher peaks, which will yield to those who ascend them still wider prospects, and deepen the feeling, the truth of which is emphasized by every advance in science, that ‘Great are the Works of the Lord’.”
—Sir Joseph J. Thomson, Nobel Prize winning physicist, discoverer of the electron, founder of atomic physics.

“The fanatical atheists are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who – in their grudge against traditional religion as the ‘opium of the masses’ – cannot hear the music of the spheres.”

Why Do Intelligent People Believe in God?
by cantleave inone of the most common thing thrown at atheists is - lots of intelligent people believe in god.
this darkmatter 2525's video is an excellent explanation as to why very logical people possess religious belief systems.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y201qzddzbg.

Salvatore: You are one of the intelligent ones. Of course we are not alone, and never have been.
..."I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene . . . . No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life. Jesus is too colossal for the pen of phrase-mongers, however artful. No man can dispose of Christianity with a bon mot.”

Atheist vs Believer. Has nothing to do with intelligence. Only perspective. There are only so many worldviews. We pick and choose. I personally agree with Darwin.
“The question of whether there exists a Creator and Ruler of the Universe has been answered in the affirmative by some of the highest intellects that have ever existed.”
–Charles Darwin, the founder of evolutionary biology, as cited in his book Descent of Man.

Romans: 1: 20. "For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are CLEARLY seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse."
"There are two books laid before us to study, to prevent our falling into error: first, the volume of the Scriptures, which reveal the will of God; then the volume of the Creatures, which express His power."
-Francis Bacon, Scientific Method
"Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system, I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance."
