I play drums...mostly percussion. I have congas, bongos, several Native American drums, lots of noise makers, and a couple of drums I can't describe..*L* Haven't played in a while becuase most of them need new heads and that's not cheap.
Cool. I did a collaborative tune with a Native American who had lots of authentic NA perscussion instruments. Some of that stuff was soooo awesome. Using real animal parts and stuff!!
I started out playing drums when I was 6. Nothing like the sound of a pounding double bass kit if you ask me. Re: drum heads not being cheap, NOTHING in being a muscian is cheap. Especially if your into recording like me. Any recordings of you playing available on the net. Pics???

As a guitarist I am a legend in my own mind. As a songwriter I had a few successes, probably before most of you were born....lol
Part of my work these days is in music production and marketing. I also arrange the odd gig here and there if I can combine some interesting chemistry. I am presently working on a songwriters in the round gig in the fall for the North West ( US ), please let me know if any of you are interested and I will send details.
Great!! What do you mean by successes? Published and made some dough? I was born in '59. You're not that old are ya?!?!?
How so with music production? In the studio? Are you a producer? Marketing?? Curious about that too. You mean promotion and stuff like that? The songwriters in the round sounds terrific. Too bad I'm in the North East...

am learning guitar, I play bass, and I write lyrics......I have a band forming in the process....will be some time before we have anything that I will feel good enough about sharing ( I also play a bit on the didgeridoo)
That's great! How long a bass player? That was the next thing I started playing after the drums. Anything recorded and available to listen to? Didgerdoo? Whoa..Mastered circular breathing??? That is so cool.

I play the piano. I took forced lessons as a child, and now I am thankful because it gives me something I can do to relax my mind and be at peace.
Piano is a great composing tool. I mess around with it a little...hacker at best. But I do enjoy it. I believe it can be the most relaxing instrument...the variations on it can be spell binding. I know a keyplayer who is classically oriented that is fantabulous...He takes your brain away with his playing...Sometimes it's good to have the old brain removed for a while, ya know?? Tried recording??

Well, I'm not exactly good, but I play flute and guitar....sort of.
Flute?? I love that sound. When I think of flute, my mind goes to Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). He was a master at that thing... How long you been playing?? And hey, haven't we crossed paths elswhere?? ;)
