Abuse Myth
by gravedancer inwhen you have the "who is the poster you like least competition" i know this post will enable you to choose gravedancer as a prime candidate but tfb here goes:.
it would seem as if everyone here is convinced that the organization of jehovah's witnesses is rife with molestors and they are raping kids at every juncture and every chance they get.
perhaps with the latest attention silentlambs has been getting this issue is just more prevalent but the reactions of some seem so stooped in personal bitterness that they are willing to just blindly accuse any jw of being a molestor (even when they know nothing else about that person other than the person is a jw).. true i agree 110% that the policy of the 2 witness rule needs to be changed immediately and victims should be encouraged to go to the police.

Keep following our stupid rules - God requires it
by dmouse inoctober 1st 2002 watchtower.
page 16 para 20. strong faith, in turn, fortifies us to obey jehovah, even when his requirements seem to go contrary to human reasoning.. .
para 22how important, therefore, that we have an obedient attitude toward that 'slave'!.

Have you not read You Know's explanation regarding the justification for the particular vowels used in the name "Jehovah" when translating the Tetragrammaton?
If the vowel choice isn't from God, then the vowel choice is not justified at all.

You don't know that for sure! Tell us what his real name is for sure, if you think you can.
I believe YHWH of the OT who spoke and dealt with men is Jesus Christ of the NT. So, when Jesus life was extinguished in heaven, the being who was YHWH became Jesus Christ the man by way of Father.
I also believe YHWH Son, then became Jesus Christ, then became "New Name" (See Revelation).
We don't know the true pronunciation of the first name he had, and we don't know the name of the new name he has now, but we do know the name that he had when he was just like us and THAT NAME has been given the chosen for salvation:
Acts 4:10-12
It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is "'the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the capstone.'12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Jesus human "name" supecedes his YHWH name as the name for salvation for man.I don't know how to pronounce YHWH nor does anyone else, I don't know His new name either, BUT...
I can utter JESUS CHRIST till the sheep come home.
God's name? Guess.
JESUS SAID:
John 5:46
46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about ME. -

"Jehovah" - the first BIG domino in a long line of domino's to ALL FALL DOWN. BOOM!
That WORD "Jehovah" makes me nauseous.
It was never God's "name."

I have seen no such inference that all JW's are molestors.
Can you show me an example? -

Ferocious large waves pics battering Porthleven
by Celtic inthese are some pictures from a particularly bad storm we had that raged at hurricane strength for 20 hours or so.
shows you the enormous potential for damage from the waves.
pictured is the village of porthleven within mounts bay in the far west of the county of cornwall uk, the waves were measured at over 95' high coming in at over 40mph.. during the storm i was stood in the clocktower doorway as the waves swept over the top of the building within which there is a snooker table full size with a couple of guys playing peacefully away as if nothing was happening on the outside.. .
