No desire to be religious

when people hand out religious flyers, which a young man did today, i feel annoyed, like a salesman trying to hock his wares when i don't need what he's selling.. the young man and the church he represented were a lot less intrusive with their ministry than jw's, though.

that's why it angers me to know that jw's go out of their way to disrupt peoples lives with a bogus religion at the prodding of the likes of the wts.

it's like a yugo car salesman knocking on doors telling people how good the company is.

One man's contradiction could be another man's understanding. That's why God says to do this:

Prov 27:17
17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

The sharpening is done man to man, not organization to man.

Interpretation is right 100% of the time because interpretation comes from God.

Man has understanding not interpretation. Man's understanding needs to be constantly adjusted as he keeps digging for the whole truth, sharpening his iron.

That is easily done on an individual basis, as one man sharpens another. But when an organization does it, especially after years of professing a certain way, well...they look like false prophets.

Hmmm. Sounds kinda familiar eh? :)

You're serious about that question? To Noah that meant EVERYTHING. He just worked his butt off building a boat to carry a boat load of animals. He is cooped up on that "boat" for almost a year with 40 days of rain, and the rest of the time just floating around probably thinking God forgot about him/them. I'm sure the work load on the ark was no party with all those animals. To Noah, it was a huge bit of knowledge and relief. Noah also could figure by God's comment:

Gen 9:1
9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.

That the earth wouldn't get slapped, flicked or pinched anytime soon either because he had to refill what was just emptied.

To Noah, that promise was a great relief. For us, it means the waters stay where they are during God's day.

First sentence, true. Second setence, also true. I'm not of the midset to put the blame of my sins on Satan. My job is to confess that I am in sin, and work against it best I can. Those feelings of inadequacy are nullifed by Christ, as He has put away all penalty of sin with the death of His fleshly body. We are free. But that freedom is relative:

Gal 5:13-14
13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

1 Peter 2:16-17
16 Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.

If we are not part of the solution we are part of the problem.

Interesting thought. But, God did state the penalty before hand. Adam understood the penalty, disobey = death = bad. The "knowledge" that Adam and Eve came to know was the existence of a spiritual rebel, the SOURCE of bad/evil.

Importantly, God knew flesh would be corrupted. Look at this text:

Eph 1:3-5
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

The implication of this text is very revealing to me. The emboldened text confirms that sinful humans (Paul and the Ephesians) were foreknown and prechosen BEFORE Genesis 1:1, the creation of the world. Why? Because Satan was already in sin. Satan's sin was going to infect flesh. God's plan to redeem infected flesh was put in place before Satan even infected flesh.

Now those first two verses, Did GOD create the
darkness-evil:or did the darkness evolve from
the light-if so how and why?

To me, this is the pinnacle of the vortex of the great spiritual conflict. These questions arise: Is it possible for a "good" spirit creature to go "bad?" Can Satan have "created" all evil concepts, thinking that all things he creates that are totally opposite and opposed of what the Creator is, make him as a god?

Here's more. Adam and Eve sinned by way of an external influence, Satan. Satan sinned by way of internal influence, himself. Internally, Satan caused himself to transform from light to darkness.
I believe it is because Satan's sin was from within himself, created without external "yeast" like influence, that he is the most supremely culpable.

I have done some interesting studies on Genesis. I would share them if you want to entertain some other thoughts.

When I read the Bible Stephen, to me it is the only relevancy. It is the conflict of a haughty testy spirit creature who thought he could get away with it all. Why? Because of love. Become the Devil's advocate. (I use this technique a lot.) Satan would use love against the Creator. How? Satan would argue "A God of Love can't take away life, because that's NOT love..." So, he would think he was untouchable...It was when Satan became guilty of the death of Christ that he became a Law breaker deserving of death. That is what the Mosaic Law was all about.

A crushed head means what? Christ dies on a cross, the snake dies on what according to what Moses made? Jael pictures God the Father, and what does she do with a tent peg to Sisera's skull? If you were to nail a snake to a pole, where would the nail go? The head seems like a convient place right? What would happen to the head of a snake with a nail through it? CRUSHED. Zechariah plainly calls Christ Jesus the TENT PEG. The tent peg is the tool by which the Father was to KILL SATAN THE DEVIL out of existence. Why?

John 8:44
He was a murderer from the beginning,

John 19:11
11 Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

Jesus is telling Pilate that Satan is the one guilty of his murder, the "greater sin." The Law will be released from man when Christ dies, and the noose of the Law will be thrown around the Devil's neck. The Law is released on man and enforced on Satan.

All though it is not I causing these things you did it

You see, once you start getting closer to the story, there is a tendency to put the blame on God. Everything bad in the world is a result of Satan not God. Once Satan came into being as bad, is God wrong for creating the fix? Is God wrong for forseeing EVERYTHING that will happen in order for ALL things to become one under HIM again? Are you upset that you have been detoured? Why? Detours are temporary. The suffering is temporary...

Two things in the Bible point to the way you are thinking. Your thinking would image these statements: How could God create while Satan was in bad mode? If Satan was there while God was creating the fix, God is bad for creating man to go wrong. God is bad for predestining His Son to death. God is bad for forknowing all the bad things that were to come.

The jews would have the same thoughts. God answered them two ways about the seven days of His physical creation while Satan was looking on:

Ex 12:19-20
19 For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And whoever eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Israel, whether he is an alien or native-born.

Seven days, no yeast. Everything God created was good, even though He knew it was going to get soiled with corruption. Omniscience in God is active because of Satan. After Satan rebelled, ALL THINGS are known by God. The Good and the Evil.

The lampstand had seven lights. Each light represents a "day". Each day was a day of Good creation. Light. There is no darkness in God AT ALL even though He knew the spiritual yeast would corrupt. Don't you see? Bad things will continue to be and the bad can be destroyed.
It has to be.

It isn't a matter of proving anything. It was a matter of getting Satan to be guilty of a sin that was worthy of death. That crime was the death of Jesus. God's son. Who WAS God in nature in the heavens.

As for us we are the Lords and what He decides will happen will. Satan never thought he was going to be GOD he just wanted to rule mankind instead of mankind ruling itself.

Not according to Ezekial. Not according to his deceptive ploy on Eve.

God's number one job is to rid the world of the darkness.

Once...bad?...and how did that happen...

The same for all creatures, including Satan;

James 1:13-15
13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

In Satan's case, the evil desire was to be god. Satan conception of sin was lying that he was a god too like the Creator. Then passing on that "godship" to all spirit creatures. Then passing on that "godship" to Eve. All deception and lies.

Yes, it WAS good. Read your Genesis account a bit closer. There are some clues that something is wrong while God is creating the "good" physical universe. For instance, Genesis 1:1-2 has God creating the heavens and the earth. There is no statement of good there. Verse two has water in existence before the Light of "day" one. There is no statement of "it was good" for water. Water is imperative to physical life, HOW COME NO GOOD? Also note in verses 6-8, that when God creates "sky" to seperate the "waters", again, the "it was good" stamp of approval is blatantly missing..."Day" two has NO GOOD stamp of approval.

That in reality is still true. Man is and never was in danger of being obliterated. Just detoured. Satan caused the detour, but the will of God cannot be stopped. The plan for eliminating the "darkness" was in place before the founding of the world. Everything in the plan has been completed. Now we wait for the execution of judgement in line with the Law and God's perfect scales of Justice.

Redemption for man was in place BEFORE Adam and Eve sinned. Because Satan was in sin before Adam and Eve were created.

Rom 5:12-13
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned- 13 for before the law was given {do not eat of the tree}, sin was in the world.

Do you see what Paul is saying was already in existence BEFORE the first law to Adam ("DO NOT EAT of the tree in the middle of the garden")??? Sin was ALREADY in the world. That sin was Satan. Satan was active in corruption before God told Adam NOT to eat. The leaven was alive.

Are you familiar with yeast/leaven? What happens when a tiny bit of it comes into contact with dough without yeast? The whole batch becomes contaminated. Satan is that yeast. It was going to contaminate flesh absolutely, and God knew it as He was creating the physical. God's plan was to use mankind as the tool by which to have His Son come through corrupt mankind to nail Satan by perfect Law.

The first "day" in Genesis is very important. The Light of Christ is separating the good from the bad in the heavens to prevent further heavenly contamination by the spiritual yeast infection. That "Light" is spiritual Light. Just as the "darkness" in verse two is spiritual darkness. Satan.

Before Genesis 1:1. Before anything physical was created. If you read Ezekial chapters 26-28, the problem in the heavens is depicted vividly for us through the physical existence of the King of Tyre. The King of Tyre is Satan. Everyone else doing "big business" with him are sympathetic demons supporting his deception and lies.

Satan's deception is to have people believe there HAS to be bad in order to have good. Wrong. That means God created evil. God is Good. "God is Light, in Him there is no darkness at all" 1 John 1:5

he is never spoken of as DIEING.... spirits dont die............he is spoken of as in a lake burning ~forever~..... that might mean the SECOND death.......... but that is still exisiting....

Satan will die. The pot IS NOT stronger than the potter. The Creator gave Satan life. The Creator will take it away in the context of perfect Law and Justice. He deserves to die. Afterall, he IS responsible for the death of Christ.

Who really involked predestination?

God or Satan?

My opinion is Satan started the predestined ball rolling. Once bad was a destiny and inevitable, God countered with predestining His Son to die fo good. Along with that, He predestined those to be like His Son even though their lives began within an imperfect human shell destined for death.

Before Satan, God predestined nothing, nor foreknew anything. After Satan, there is God's predestiny and Satan's predestiny.

Afterall, because of Satan we are all predestined to die. Do you deny your predestiny of death? Every single one of us will die. Is that God's doing? No. He is the Creator of life. Satan is the taker of life, the creator of death. If our very deaths are predestined by Satan, so is the whole ball of wax.

IMHO.
