sexual abuse is most certainly the most horrific type of child abuse, but the more i read the more i realize that anyone born into the "cult" is a victim.

we are all victims of lying, emotional and spiritual abuse over years or over decades.

Sexual abuse is most certainly the most horrific type of child abuse, but the more I read the more I realize that anyone born into the "cult" is a victim. We are all victims of lying, emotional and spiritual abuse over years or over decades. I was born in and fortunately never experienced sexual abuse, but suffered as many have here emotionally and spiritually. This is not a cry for " sympathy" , but a recognization that no matter what type of abuse we suffered, we have suffered and we are all survivors of a horrible cult. I want to take this moment to recognize everyone on this site and others who have had their lives ever changes by the WT abuses. Stand tall and please understand you are not alone.

does anyone else have physical symptoms with the mention of jw ,borg, wt, etc.

my wife mentioned that we should study the watchtower with the kids and just the thought made me physically anxious and mildly nauseated.

Does anyone else have physical symptoms with the mention of JW ,Borg, WT, etc. My wife mentioned that we should study the watchtower with the kids and just the thought made me physically anxious and mildly nauseated. I am not trying to be funny or dramatic, but I have had anxiety, mild depression, nausea, etc with the thought of JW, studying with my kids, etc.

Thoughts ?

Wifes parents are in a bad way.

my wife's parents are in a bad way.

she went to visit and her mother has alzheimer and father has a hart condition.

they are jws and he quit his job at gm many years ago for 1975. he moved to where the need was great to wait for the end.

I have learned that being part of the Borg that we do not learn how to create proper boundaries with JWs and loved ones closest to us. I think on a human level its good to help, but only give what you can and that can mean different things to so many people. I would sit down and figure out what is reasonable to help with and be honest and open-much easier said than done. I think we do not discuss the biggest issues in out lives as JWs we are taught to avoid thinking for ourselves and creating a life outside the Borg that has meaning. just my 2 cents.

Blood Issue.......something for thought, where is the logic.

i have yet to read about the contradictions in the jw teachings on blood, but i have personally witnessed one.

i am a medical professional and have seen hemopure administered for an active jw who did refuse a blood transfusion.

its not fda approved here, but given in special life saving circumstances.

I have yet to read about the contradictions in the JW teachings on blood, but I have personally witnessed one. I am a medical professional and have seen Hemopure administered for an active JW who did refuse a blood transfusion. Its not FDA approved here, but given in special life saving circumstances. Here is my question , and if you know or have researched it please let me know.

An active JW refuses blood and blood has many fractions including hemoglobin. Why cannot a JW get "human" hemoglobin , but it turn its fine to get hemopure ( in some cases) as its primary component is chemically stabilized "bovine hemoglobin" or HBOC 201. So.....bovine hemoglobin is okay? , but human is not ? Where is the logic in that?

JWs have the most severe passive aggressive policies that I have ever come across, and for my whole life I have never agreed with any of it. This is certainly something to get upset about and I feel she did a good thing, and for some reason I feel like doing the same thing at Warwick! People suffering any type of emotional trauma need loving kindness and support, not shunning. I see more love and kindness in the " worldly " people around me as a whole. While I cannot judge anyone's heart, or motivation, how they think and what they say about others speak volumes as to their true intent and feelings. I have been in the truth my whole life-over 4 decades- served as an MS, parts at assemblies, meetings, aux pioneered. Overall I see those taking the lead as ones who have the least compassion and kindness for people both inside and outside the faith. My sister is a hard core pioneer for 20 years plus and she has 0 compassion for others. Many people have the " Well , they get what they deserve discussion" -its certainly taught at all meetings, assemblies, at home to kids.....please help us all. This is such a destructive and horrible cult. I would imagine that teaching that billions will be destroyed from birth , separate from the world, hate worldly people certainly can mold people.

What mental health expert would agree with any part of shunning ? Name one please !!

it seems he sold the wheat at a premium and promised 5 x yield ?

he denies selling - as he did not know , but he is a snake oil salesman.
