Today's meeting & WT 7/2015 study "Work to enhance the spiritual paradise"

so, much against my inclination, i went to the meeting this sunday morning.

just starting to fade, but i needed to do it so that it doesn't look like my hubby turned my head during last week's vacations.

since i'm not just disappearing cold turkey, i went.

I noticed that par. 16 also. One super brown-nosing, jack ass MS commented about a, "wonderful experience of brothers in Africa who don't have running water, indoor plumbing or even ELECTRICITY are able to use their electronic devices to access jay double you dot org."

I started laughing out loud. How do those poor "brothers" charge their electronic devices with no electricity? What a dumbass!

Another seconded that comment with the praising of that web site reaching all the people in China. Last I looked JDUBYA dot org was a blocked website in China. not accessible.

Another gem is the way the seventies changes are spun. It was good then to give MORE men say, while it is good now to give LESS men say at the top. As a friend says the eldurr bodies are great about making decisions, just piss poor at ever implementing them because too many are vying for their pet way of doing things. The correct answer, for any who like I will attempt to comment, is, "We must preach about the WT organization."

Is it worth making a JW Talk profile?

is it any use making a profile to get in?

mainly just to laugh at the pathetic discussion that they carry on with.

Well where else could you find some pearls of wisdom like this little gem:

True believers never save their money

either god is going to save them or he is not.

since one local elder proudly told me that he never saved a nickel until just before his retirement, i've given this subject some thought.. savers are worldly..

There is a very good saying, "Saved money is stored work."

For the average JDubya that saying makes no sense. They toil away at minimum wage, part-time jobs, have zero in the bank, no health or life insurance, and then bitch about being in their seventies still having to work and depend on others charity for home repairs, food, vehicles, and money to get to their precious ass emblies. But by god they sure have enough to buy the latest electronic gadget so they can worship the Guardians Of Doctrine.

This was almost painful to watch! But then again I find it difficult to tolerate stupidity and lying!

Perhaps they all should have said, "What difference, at this point in time, does it make?" Just like another professional liar did in the United States. It would have shown the same level of callous disregard for human lives.

VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account

anyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.

bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.

i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

those of you more able to recall the text, i ask: how many doctrines did ray franz expose / comment on in crisis of conscience have been done away with due to "new light"?

i think it would be interesting to see if ray called bs on doctrines that were later changed because the governing body also realized they were bs.

My memory is about as long as, well you know. . .but I think I remember reading that he had some questions about the teaching that the FDS was all anointed on earth as taught then, and that it would reasonably be only a small number, perhaps the governing body, and basically had that idea shot down?

I am sure someone with better memory than mine will remember and verify, or correct me if I am wrong.

Meetings Are Really Getting Fun

so last night i got to have some more fun at the meeting.. the serve us indoctrination session was thirty minutes of interrogation and answers about the "these words must be on your heart" video.. question three was, "what scriptural formula leads to the best chance of success in raising children?

I use over-the-top comments like the one in this thread and others to "tweak" those who are fully asleep and indoctrinated. Perhaps someone will hear the comment and think, "Shit, that really is how the JDubya's think!"

Not likely, but at the risk of "outing" myself, I could always claim I heard it on TV or some such, I thought I would use the term and maybe, just maybe someone with their handy-dandy oh-so-spiritual tablet would research the term and begin to think.
