No 'Tight Pants' policy is now official - classed as 'disturbing'
by wizzstick inin short:- tight pants is no longer just a am3 hang up (or is that a hang up on the well hung?
)- brothers who have effeminate body language are flagged up- as are sisters with 'masculine' hair styles or dress- such dress is 'disturbing to the congregation'- the above must heed the (repeated) counsel from the elders...or they get stripped of the right to share on the ministry- however...this will not be revealed (announced) to the congregation.
wow.

I'd like to hear Henry Turner say this. He is as effeminate a man as I have ever had to suffer listening to. Last know to be in California, of course. -

If there is anything to bible prophecy, keep an eye out on Israel
by EndofMysteries inwhat will be the end game whether in a few years, our lifetime, or hundreds + years from now.
bible prophecy did say israel / jews would be scattered then eventually brought back.
russell was declaring that and it was believed before being changed shortly before it happened.

Beaten, stoned, or disfellowshipped. What is the difference? -

Another Resolution
by truthlover inhas anyone on the board been at the recent meeting where they are asking for more money to help out the co's, insurance and health and travel??
this is supposed to go into a general fund???
they can use it for anything they want..... oh, and also, if you can give more, it would help as many congregations may not be able to give - based on number of pubs in each cong.

It was passed unanimously in our congregation as well, no one dares not to -- no one dissented can you imagine the feedback to not put your hand up.
Here they NEVER ask anything other than, "All in favor?" Then the next thing out of their pie-hole is "Okay, it looks unanimous."
Idiots!

This is supposed to go into a GENERAL fund??? What does that mean? They can use it for anything they want....
Exactly! The way it was read where I am it sounded a lot like that general account would be used for things like. . .um . . . lawsuits.
It was passed unanimously, even though some of the hands in the air were kids not yet in school, and I sat with a steady stare into the eyes of the eldurr reading it and purposely crossed my arms in front of myself when he asked "in favor?"

How to?
by OneFingerSalute ini cannot use the "quote" feature.. if i click on the quote marks it does the hi-lite of the quote i wish, but i cannot under any circumstances get out of the yellow quote box to create my own post.. i would like to know how other posters are able to do this.
i use both ie and firefox.
the same thing happens in both of them.. also hi-liting no longer works as it used to.

So, you:
- paste the quote,
- hit enter button,
- mark lowest line with a period,
- go back up and drag mouse across desired text (while holding left button).
- After that, click the "quotation mark" button in the tool bar above.Thank you to all who replied!
It works. And I didn't even have to be told, "Well brother, you need to go home and do personal study then meditate and pray about how to make quotes. Then wait on Jehovah to reveal that information to you in good time."

Family fun
by redvip2000 inwent to over to family gathering at a cousin's home in upstate ny over the weekend.
in the late afternoon, several bet-hell constructions workers arrived (some family, others just friends), after a nice day of slavery at the construction site.
endless bragging ensued while we gathered around a bonfire, from how "the construction is going forward in seamless way", using "the best techniques and materials in construction" to the fact that the obama care website doesn't work properly and how it's "complete garbage when compared to the jw.org.".

I noticed too that when the Sunday video was to be shown all that came up was the "temporarily unavailable. Check back later" error message. I started laughing out loud when three or four tries didn't work. When I was asked afterwards what I thought was so funny I said, "The un-useable video from JDubya dot org just gave me a sudden mental picture of Jehovah's Chariot coming to a screeching halt." -

"If you are teaching intolerance, we WILL shut you down!" English Prime Minister David Cameron
by stuckinarut2 inthe prime minister of england made the above statement yesterday regarding any schools that influence youths in a negative manner.. he went on to say that if youths are influenced in a negative manner regarding religious teachings that promote judgement of others (including same sex relationships, etc ) or that look down on other peoples free choice, the government would take action.. i cant find a newspaper article sorry...i just heard it on the radio news.... very interesting though...it may have a bearing on how those who learn ttatt are treated by the organization??

In my experience the most intolerant people are those who have their version of tolerance disagreed with. -

What other Shenanigans can we expect to see in the next 2 years?
by John Aquila inits been a little over 2 years since i left the watchtower.
in that time the magazines have been cut, the birth of jwtv, jw-org.
carts for preaching, removed district overseers, cut assemblies, demand all the money from the congregations, stop construction and layoff bethelites, change the format of the tmschool .

"Not even saying a greeting, NO NOT TO EVEN LOOK AT THEM"
Years ago when I was still fully indoctrinated I was DF'd and was trying to get RI. The PO asked why I thought I had a chance to be allowed back in. I said because one brother would always nod and give a slight smile when he saw me at the KH as he walked back to conduct the second "school".
The very next serve us meeting had the first and second parts shortened for a "special local needs" part that was not scheduled in the KM.
That same PO gave the part and said those very words. He said DF'd people would have ben stoned to death and buried in Israel, so they could not be seen. Therefore DF'd ones were the same as dead, and should not even be looked at.
What a f--king jack-ass! He is spreading his vile thoughts in central Arizona, USA now.
