How it will end for the believers

today, many signs have been fulfilled showing that we are in the end times and much has been said in regards to armageddon, tribulation... etc but little in regards to what happens to those who believe and what transitions them to be free and escape from all that to the final destination.

this is my focus and message is based on that.in creation, there were two trees at the centre of the garden of eden and we are familiar with what happened;man ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and then we are familiar with the ramifications afterwards.

now through jesus christ, the events that will lead to the end for those who believe are in 3 stages1.knowledge will be increased (daniel 12:4)there will be a transition, knowledge will transition from that of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to also include knowledge of the tree of life and this brings with it a transformation that will bring in the second phase2.healingthe knowledge/belief/faith will bring about spiritual transformational healing, also practical knowledge i.e.

Narcissistic Elders/Pioneers

today, while listening to a book that covered narcissism, i was a bit surprised to find a connexion with those “seeking privileges” in the organization.

while not being paid, pioneers, ministerial servants and elders invest a great level of time and effort in upholding their responsibilities.

fear of being destroyed by god for not doing enough.

LongHairGal - I had the same experience.

When I was the Service Overseer or the School overseer, I would do my best to make sure elders who could not put two sentences together didn't come again.

Funny enough over time some of the other elders in my hall fought against it tooth and nail.

Not surprisingly to me it was those who also did not have the right to stand on a podium and teach anyone anywhere.

I took the position of being a speaker and teacher seriously and put my all into it, even going at my own expense to get training from top speechwriters. I did this because I really wanted to make a difference.

The better I got at it, the more glaring it became that not only were the lions share of JW speakers were inept, but those were often ones who wanted POWER and ADULATION!

If you think about it, for many "elder", this is the only place they may have power or validation.

So many are uneducated and trapped in crap jobs because of being a JW.

Many come from poor backgrounds to begin with.

They are bossed around by everyone in their life, but in the Congregation, they can get power and praise!

Of course people like that will be drawn to want to BE AN ELDER!

That is ABSOLUTELY not to say that this is the case with all of them, I was one, but people want validation and power and to be better than someone else.

the wtbts is not being given special room rates by 2 major hotels at the long beach convention center area for the upcoming 2020 regional conventions & wt is t'd off.

letters are being read in surrounding circuits and congregations.

apparently wt is afraid that other hotels are going to blackball them as well.. has anyone else heard this?

firstly i am a rabid apostate, and certainly not wt greatest fan.

that been said however, i will certainly stick up for them when they do the right thing.

The outline has changed to allow for more "eulogizing", but most Elders won't even know how to do that.

Just so you guys now - the value of the different Rewards Benefits, are STAGGERING when you think of the MILLIONS of hotels stays that have been happening for decades.

Just think of some of the things you may get as rewards, besides free stays, cash back, discounts for products and services.....

It is BIG MONEY!!

AND THE FRIENDS ARE NEVER TOLD!

They are BROW BEATEN TO GO TO THE ASSIGNED HOTEL "cuz you will be hurting the other friends if you dont" - NOT GO so the WT can collect ALL YOUR PREKS and use them for themselves.

That is strange.

So many people may not know this, but I do from an elder who is in the negotiations in the Tri-State area.

It is NOT NOT NOT about the price, and getting a better rate for the "friends", as we have all thought.

Any group almost automatically qualifies for a discount rate, and it it not hard at all to get a good rate when any company buys a block, or guarantees at least X will show up on these dates.

So whats it about?

It is about the REWARDS that hotel chains offer!

Instead of individuals getting REWARDS they all go as a block to the WT!!!

This is also their practice with Airlines tix for International Conventions.

You pay the money the WT collects ALL THE REWARDS.

WHen you are talking 10s of thousands and more people regularly, this is a MASSIVE BOON for the WT

It is worth MILLIONS a year to them.

Thats how WT big wigs are always flying 1st class, but the way.

Good memories of full-time service?

perhaps not a topic for everybody... mine.. in both sp service in a foreign field in europe , the freedom and helping people to read and write in spanish .

doing a lot of work in the congregations.. in missionary-service.. helping congregations in a third-world country and see good results in family relations.

and the siestas from 13:00 to 15:00..... who has good memories of bethel?

One of the best parts of Pioneering was that I could count time doing RBC (which I loved) instead of knocking on doors.
