And Harris has mentioned in the past that if she every becomes President one day, ---Then Pressley and Talib would make good VPs and it would be the first time in US history that a Women President and Women VP. would run the Country and be able to change the entire structure of the USA. i was reading through this site the other day and came across several posts by different posters lamenting this site, saying what a shame it has gone from debating jw believers to talking politics and current affairs.. there are a few issues i have with these kind of posts.. first, discussing politics is actually a good thing.

well, in case you haven't noticed, we in the west are going through a culture war.

certain groups of far-leftists are trying - and sometimes succeeding - to shut down free discussion.

Right, Left, Far Right, Far Left, Middle Right, Middle Left, Extreme Far Right, Extreme Far Left, Right wing Capitalist, Socialist, Communist, Nazism far-left, Dictatorial far right, Gender-less far-left, God-given gender right, and about a hundred different more names are all the different terms that have arisen the past couple of decades to describe certain political ideologies.

They are not legal political terms but are more “Name Calling” to demean the other party.

The truth is that here are only two prominent Working parties as of now, in the USA. Republican, and Democratic. But in reality there are lots of political parties. The only problem is that none of the other parties have been willing to take it to the next level💪

So what informed voters in the USA do is study the platform of each party at election year and choose the party that they feel will benefit them and their family and the Country for future generations. These are called the “Silent Majority”

The silent majority is an unspecified large group of people who do not express their opinions publicly. They do not join in the demonstrations against this or that thing going on in the media. They do not join in the counterculture, and they do not participate in any public discourse. This is what is called Middle Americans. They are the one that are being overshadowed in the media by the more vocal minority. These are the ones that study the platform of each party and vote accordingly.

Un-informed voters on the other hand will vote on what Political Scientists call “Character Politics” These are usually individuals who never went to college, and if they did, they never took Political Science courses seriously.

They have no idea what the political platform of each party is for the particular election years. They don’t even know where to look. They depend on the News media, blogs, and posts for information on the character of the candidates running for office - not realizing that the candidate they are voting for might be working against their interest. These are the ones that instead of discussing platform objectives, they use name calling like “He” a bigot, He’s a Liar, He’s a Russian Spy, He grabs them by the Pus*Y

I have a relative that is a Political Scientist who studies the voter trend. He says America is slowly becoming a nation of uninformed voters who depend on the news media, twitter, facebook, google, etc.. They don’t realize that the news media in the USA is the main “Marketing Tool” for Corporations to sell their products and Political Parties to buy “Smear Campaigns” against the opposing party. The News media is mainly for the benefit of the uninformed voters who don’t know any better.

He says being uneducated in the Country’s Constitution is a major part of it, and also, being gullible and easily fooled.

So instead of saying I vote for this President, -----an informed voter will say, I vote for the Republican Platform because----(Name the Reasons) or the Democrat Platform because ----(Name the reasons)

No party is going to have everything you wish for or align with your perspective. But some parties objectives are so crazy that just by looking them over. you can see with clarity that if voted in, the citizens will suffer and the Country’s political structure will start to change based on the political party’s ideology.

That's what happened in places like Germany, Venezuela, and so many other countries whose citizens failed to study the platforms of the new political ideology making its way in.

Name your experts!

There should be over 100 experts just like in all scientific fields, engineering fields, biochemistry fields, biology fields etc.

There is NO CULT-"Fields" --- Thus no experts!

"Cult" is a controversial term, having divergent definitions both in culture and academia. The "Idea" of a cult has also been an ongoing source of contention among scholars across several fields of study.

Several fields of study because there is no major study of cults. You can't go to a University and get a degree in "Cults" The closest is Religious studies. But that is not a major in cults.

There is still no uniformity of what a cult actually is.

So called experts that you are probably referring are people who were in a cult like Steven Hassan who
holds a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Cambridge College,, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has written three books

But he is not an expert because there is no legal term for a “Cult Expert” He just knows a little bit more than your average person of organizations that influence certain groups of people and the methods they use.

Cult expert, thought reform consultant, exit counselor, intervention specialist, cult specialist, et cetera are all names that anyone who has been in a so called cult for at least 6 months can adopt and be considered an expert---and actually make money on the subject.

The media still refers to cult experts as d-programmers — people who deprogram someone who has been programmed through brain washing or mind control because it sounds sensational.

But there is no such thing as a ‘cult expert’ and the term ‘cult expert’ is not protected.

It’s not like the term Lawyer, or Doctor, Scientist, which is protected by the use of a Degree or license.

Anyone can use it regardless of ability, approach, or level of acceptance by recognized authorities in the field.

Among cult experts you can encounter—professionals, lay experts, or loose cannons, rogues, charlatans and sundry unethical types

Some cult experts are trained and licensed mental health counselors, while others have no formal counseling training.

Some self-proclaimed ‘cult experts’ have a bias for or against one or more religions.

Some people give themselves big titles, along with lofty sounding names apparently designed to cover up the fact that, say, their ‘education institute’ is essentially a one-person affair.

So NO----There are no ‘Experts in the field of cults, because as of yet-there is no such thing, because there is still no consensus on what a cult actually is.

I was in the JW cult for three decades before I sent a letter to my local congregation stating scriptural reasons why I could no longer be a JW. It wasn’t until three months later that I realized that I had been in a cult. I was embarrassed and ashamed at first but eventually realized that anyone can be entrapped in a cult.

You know there were many of us that were born in this religion, we were not entrapped. Yet we had enough common sense to realize that the Faithful and Discreet slave were just men, that living forever in these bodies was impossible, that it was crazy to believe that a “Man” that lived a 2000 years ago was ruling invisibly since 1914. By the time I was 15 years old I knew everything my parents believed was crazy. At this point I knew I had to leave as soon as I turned 18. And there are thousands of young jws like me. So I disagree with you that anyone can be entrapped in a cult. There are some humans that know better.

While I vowed to never become ensnared in a cult again, I was shocked to learn that many who left the JW org began embracing conspiracy theories and becoming involved in cult-like political movements.
If you believe our POTUS cares about the working-class people, you are probably in a cult.
If you believe our POTUS hasn’t told over 20,000 lies since he’s been elected, you are probably in a cult.

You’re missing the whole point of how USA elections work, how the media works. Probably you’ve never taken any courses in political science or communication to help you understand how the whole US government works.

Informed voters DON’T chose a President based on Character, which is what most people who don’t understand how it works will vote. I’ve been seeing a lot of what CNN says about President Trump, or what Fox says about Biden.

How many posts have discussed what the Democratic Platform for 2020 is, or the Republican Platform for 2020 is. Do you understand what that means? Do you even know where to look to find out what the man you are voting for is going to try to accomplish in the next 4 years. I say TRY, because the President will still be limited by the Legislative, and Judicial branches of Government.

When I voted for Trump in 2016, I did not vote for him because I was a Bigot as you so affirmatively described EVERYONE who voted for Trump. And I did not use the media, either Fox or CNN to sway me. I used what all informed US citizens use, The platform objectives of each party.

Do you know where to look for the platform objective of each party?

It’s not the media, because a simple course in communications will teach you that the News media is a marketing tool for companies and corporations to sell their products. How do you think CNN and FOX make their money to keep them in business? They stay in business by advertising, subscriptions, affiliate linking, and e-commerce sales, and so on. So they are bias to whoever pays them.

The news media is for the uninformed masses who can be swayed either way by Character Politics.

The framers of our Constitution showed some impressive foresight when they created the Electoral College as an alternative to electing the president by popular vote or by Congress.

The only problem with this is when a Country’s population starts to reverse in the number of informed citizens vs unformed citizens. This is why the Republican platform consists of screening all immigrants who want to come to the United States and reject criminals and those who want to undermine of the power and authority of an established system or institution by enemies of the USA. This is the reason why there was tons of migrant caravans wanting to force their way into the United States a few year before the election, and the reason the Democratic platform wants to allow free access to ALL migrants without any screening.

I used the media to be entertained and post news media clips on sites like this to get a laugh or two. Sometimes to review if the studies "Experts Recommended" and examine if they actually came true. (Remember the Ferguson/Imperial College report)

If you believe mainstream media is fake news, you are probably in a cult.
If you believe mainstream scientists are involved in nefarious conspiracies, you are probably in a cult.
If you believe the novel coronavirus is not as deadly as mainstream experts say it is, you are probably in a cult.

You still fail to see that all scientist including the mainstream scientists are prone to lying, greed, power, and are very limited in their understanding of microbiology. Why do you think it’s difficult for thousands of experts in the field of viruses and diseases who have been funded with billions of dollars by their individual governments to come up with a vaccine? Because they are limited in understanding how this virus works, how it evolves, and how a created vaccine will affect the recipients.

When this virus started the top experts of the world ran simulation scenarios, The models suggested that, with no action, the United States would face 2.2 million deaths; Many of the politicians panic and took seriously the words of these experts and shut down the entire economy causing more damage than the virus itself. Do we have 2.2 million deaths as predicted? Of course not, the experts were WRONG.

How is you calling everyone that voted for Trump a Bigot different from the Governing body calling everyone that doesn’t see it their way ---(“Worldly People, Demonized people, People fit for destruction”) and so on. Maybe the cult thinking is still hanging around.
