73 years old, a Witness for 48 years, an elder for 24 years, Baptized just before 1975. WOKE UP!

i thought i would post an encouraging experience i found today.

i've been seeing a lot of 70-80 year old jws waking up, and their children are posting their experience on reddit.

these are old elders, pioneers, circuit overseers who have given their everything and finally at the end of their life, are walking away.. maybe the key to waking up is that a person has to have a deep sense of right and wrong.

These are old elders, pioneers, Circuit overseers who have given their everything and finally at the end of their life, are walking away.

Maybe the key to waking up is that a person has to have a deep sense of Right and Wrong. Then with all the hypocrisy of the WT organization finally being exposed everywhere, ----a good person no matter what age, has no choice but to follow their good conscience and LEAVE. Regardless of the Cost.

What useful piece of literature have the JW produced?

seeing on another post here about former jws throwing away literature.

i am curious as to the various opinions on there value.. for me i have been inactive for 3 years almost 4. i still have alot of books and of course all their bibles ever produced (except a few from the 1800s.).

in my opinion i think there are four books the jws produced that are useful:.

In my opinion I think there are four books the JWs produced that are useful

1. The Aid book.
2. The NWT 1984 REFERNCE Edition.
3. Mankind's Search for God.
4. The Kingdom Interlinear 1969/1985.

Wasn't born when these books came out. Seen them but never had any use for them. My life is awesome, and I attribute that to leaving the publishing corporation early and not getting indoctrinated with their Publications.

If their publications are so useful------WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THEM?

We had a CO by the name of Don Moore back in the 60's. Cant recall his wife's name, but when she asked me about the girl I was engaged to at the time, she asked me if I'd also checked her record card. Oh well..

LOL, what a funny world the jws live in. What man on the entire planet is first attracted to the record card of a girl.

Man -- that wedding story just reminded me why I left the jws at an early age------There is just to much DRAMA with all those people.

Even going to College, and working up to 4 part time jobs after I left the jws, I never experience that much Drama in my life.

And yet I was always told by Elders, CO's, DO, and Pioneers, that the world was a crazy place to be.

King David's Three Choices

editor's note: found this on reddit...thought the meat of the post would be a good post for discussion here as well.. consider the three choices god forced upon david for taking a census.

these three choices were forced on king david, not for murdering people, not for raping women, not for lying, stealing, or any crime we can think of in our modern world that is repugnant, but simply for taking a census or in other words, counting people.. for counting people, jehovah forced a decision on david that involved the lives of thousands upon thousands of innocent people.. the choices all dealt with the “way” jehovah would kill thousands of unsuspecting loyal worshipers.. 1 chronicles 21.

I never realized that the 70,000 people that Jehovah killed with a plague---------were his own FAITHFUL, LOYAL, WORSHIPERS.

Even David pleads with Jehovah to spare them because they are innocent sheep who were not involved in the sin.

Bible quote;

And David said to Jehovah, “I am the one who called for the census! I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are as innocent as sheep—what have they done?

Imagine you are an Israelite living in those days. You decide to take a break from the hard labor of farming and have a picnic with the wife and all ten children. Then out of nowhere, one by one your children start dropping on the ground with some kind of flesh eating plague. Then your husband dies also. Leaving just the wife to plow the fields and herd the animals and feed herself. Or she can sell herself as a slave, or her bother in law can marry her and she can be his 4th older wife that he now has to care for.

And after several months the wife learns that Jehovah killed her family because King David took a census.

Will the wife continue to worship this God who killed her innocent family and made the rest of her life a living HELL?

The Watchtower magazines never mentions this. They only focus on David's SIN.

They are preparing the sheep for the DOWNSIZING.

They know it's over. There is no more Great Crowd coming in.

Never again will there be Two day Kingdom Hall Builds.

Too many are waking up to keep the machine going.

These videos are basically just for the DIE-HARD -BELIEVERS who will be completely gone in a few years

It's truly the Last Days for the Religion Known as the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society.

They had a good run but it's time to start closing shop little by little like a helium balloon after a week in the air

And once they are gone, many will reflect on the thousands of wives, husbands, and children that died for a silly interpretation of not taking blood, shunning your family, and spending several years in prison because some home-schooled or high school men defined what neutrality was.

He is telling the jws that they must PERSONALLY STUDY GOD'S WORD THE BIBLE.

And that is exactly what the JWS are doing. They are following the direction given.

And that's why many are waking up because they are finally reading the bible and seeing WHAT IT REALLY TEACHES.
