I was always so embarrassed being in the presence of the deceased's family while listening to the so-called eulogy. They didn't become Witnesses for a reason before their loved one died.
Most of the people in my congregation just stare and whisper about the relatives in attendance, then they all scramble around making sure they have a ride to the restaurant where the free lunch is being served. ~_~;;*
it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.
I've always connected "The Truth" to The X-Files, hahaha. Even before finding out about all of the hypocrisy and lies, I can't remember a time when I ever used the phrase in relation to the bOrg.
My deeply religious cousin asked me when I was in middle school, "Do you know The Truth?" I replied, "About what?"
Besides, I really do believe in aliens.

Late Bloomer - I usually become a fan of a celebrity based on his/her voice, and Alan Rickman is in my top list. I’ve been wanting to collect audiobooks read by my favorite actors, and Alan did some that I will definitely buy.

when i was young my folks made me wear one and i opened it up and took the paper out making it look like it fell out.

i don't think you'll ever come across a set of people with such a skewed and twisted outlook on life.. my memory serves me well when i recall a sort of blood lusting excitement over things like the 9/11 atrocities.
in fact i remember jw's describing the event as 'sad but exciting.
what if the governing body members bought a ticket or somehow obtained one.

@Darkknight757 - I instantly cringed when I started imagining possible faces in slow motion.
If I bought a ticket, I'd move my family into a nicer house... and I'd move into my own house/apartment.
That or do a Mission-Impossible-styled attempt at getting recorded evidence of what the Governing Body actually have meetings about.
