I bet one of the GB or writers either really hates or is allergic to the ingredients used in this skit.
We should send them an expired supply of this stuff.

May you one day burst it. <3"
although tomo's human hotdogs was as low as an alleged human could verbally go, tomo's fear-mongering was not an official video.. i'm wagering that the feb 2016 video will be pulled or adjusted.. what do you think, trash?.

ours was on making use of phone witnessing and letter writing.
both ineffective and wastes of time.
another local cong.
joe134cd = (*shakes head*) The elder didn't give specific examples, but he did say that before you post something online, "Ask yourself, would you be able to share this story to the congregation, on televised news, or even to the Governing Body?"
Those were listed in that order...
They probably will backtrack and praise social networking to the max once it officially becomes a preaching method on field service reports (like what's your character word count or how much Internet data you've wasted Skyping/Facetiming someone). I think they've already included electronic media on the new report slips, but our congregation doesn't have those yet.

Tonight's local needs talk was about the benefits but mostly dangers of social networking, particularly "untrue things being shared by online friends you don't really know like on forums."
(*waves enthusiastically to any lurking elders from my congregation*)
there is a brother that was read off in three cong because he is well known in area he was announced as df now when he is reinstated so he can talk to his family will they announce in all 3 cong so all 3 can clap for him including the pharisees?
A sister who was DF'd from our congregation for at least a decade was recently reinstated last month, and it was announced both at our hall and the one she and her parents currently attend.
Everyone clapped of course (pretty enthusiastically, too), but I don't think it was a coincidence that the following week, the sister had a big baby shower and all were invited...
last night, during our "christian life and ministry" meeting, we had a session on local needs.
elder opened the talk with a disclaimer saying that this was a reminder (cited psalms about how david loved jehovahs reminders).
he reminded us of how bless we are of having our own local assembly hall.
(that is, doubts).
in margaret atwood's "the handmaid's tale", a futuristic story of life inside a repressive, abusive big brother-style society tightly controlled by religious fundamentalists, there's a passage in which the protagonist is alone with another woman at a state-controlled centre where prayers are generated -- then printed out and read out -- by a machine.
the other woman asks, in barely more than a whisper, "do you think god listens to these machines?
Margaret Atwood is one of my favorite authors! Glad to hear of fellow fans!
I can talk about almost anything with my mom, the woman who taught her kids to always do their research regarding medical procedures, grocery shopping, news stories, etc. Between my parents, Mom is more willing to learn and accept the falsehood of things previously thought to be true, and she had no problem about my sister and me going to college.
Of course, when I finally decided last October to tell her my real feelings about the bOrg and what I found out through research, the first thing she said was, "Get behind me, Satan, get behind me!"
After calming her down, her follow-up was, "What am I supposed to live for?"
=___=;;*
god forbid you would talk about the dead person at his funeral.
so what do most people get after living 70-80 years?.
a 5-10 minutes eulogy.
I was always so embarrassed being in the presence of the deceased's family while listening to the so-called eulogy. They didn't become Witnesses for a reason before their loved one died.
Most of the people in my congregation just stare and whisper about the relatives in attendance, then they all scramble around making sure they have a ride to the restaurant where the free lunch is being served. ~_~;;*
it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".
"is he 'in the truth'?".
most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.
I've always connected "The Truth" to The X-Files, hahaha. Even before finding out about all of the hypocrisy and lies, I can't remember a time when I ever used the phrase in relation to the bOrg.
My deeply religious cousin asked me when I was in middle school, "Do you know The Truth?" I replied, "About what?"
Besides, I really do believe in aliens.
The Truth Is Out There, Lurkers~
i carried out my monthly "cover" visit to the k.h.
tonight.
as previously discussed on this forum, the clam meeting is just a rehashed, recycled, reshuffled, & rebranded ministry school and service meeting.
i bumped into a sister that i have known for at least 40 years or so.
we were catching up.
she and her husband have been in the truth for decades.
