I recognise the vast majority of them, maybe I’m consuming too much ex JW content?

If 1914 gets tossed
by Leathercrop init feels like the change in reporting of hours becomes a fundamentally bigger deal every day.
the weight and importance placed on quantity was enormous, and now it's just gone.
even tho most witnesses really didn't keep "accurate" records so to speak hehehe.... this could very well be a precursor to even bigger doctrinal changes, like 1914. damn, would would happen then?.

There is no way to explain away the 1914 doctrine 77 week prophecy from 607, other than to admit they got it wrong. And then 1919 Jehovah chose them to be his one true religion on earth is also wrong.
Its so bizarre how JDubs are told to do deep study but not many ever see the discrepancy that the war started in June 1914 and they say Jesus is Michael the archangel through Satan and the demons out of heaven later that year?

Yes the jabs from Jehovah is the main thing that is waking everyone up. Especially when Tony Morris ridicules another church for saying the jabs were from satans world and were harmful. The GB can’t change the fact that they said “would Jehovaxx get all the full time servants fully vaxed if they were not safe?”

What If The Tower Fell?
by Big Dog inwhat if the truly unthinkable happened and the tower went down?
perhaps the irs swooped in and claimed fraud and padlocked the headquarters and kingdom hall doors?
or the gb took the money and ran to a nice non-extradition country to live out their years?

There are several big issues that could bring down the tower. 1914, overlapping generations, Vaccines were from Jehovah, CSA cover ups. Even the truth about Tony Morris could bring down the tower.
There could be a hard reset, where new brothers raise up when the current GB get too old or too infirm.
They admit the vaccines were not from Jehovah and they admit the 1914 doctrine was wrong. They admit they covered up CSA, but don’t worry this new updated governing body really is the true faithful and discreet slave and is now chosen by Jehovah to get rid of the evil slave.

PIMI wife told to go against her husband and take the vaccines?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a pimi sister has been told by her unbelieving husband not to take these experimental vaccines then what is official jw policy in this situation?.
should she go against her husband and tell him i will do what the men at my church tell me?.
what on earth will the husband think then?

I thought everyone knew by now that the harmful stuff in the vaccines has been proven to shed to unvaccinated people in close proximity.
This has been proven by the amount of unvaccinated women who also had the menstrual cycle messed up just like all the vaccinated women.
It’s everyone’s right to decide if they don’t want to be shed upon. If someone decides to have these substances injected into them that is their right. But their partner has the right to not have those substances shed on them as they don’t want them in their body.

I do wonder what unbelieving spouses think of their marriage mate going out a couple of times per week. It’s mostly the wives who are believers and the husbands the unbelievers.
How does he feel about his wife going to spend time with all these other men and sometimes they have shepherding calls with her alone.
Then think about those husbands who didn’t want want the spike protein shedding on them so insist their partner doesn’t get spiked. As it’s now absolutely confirmed the spike protein does shed to partners if sleeping together.
This unbelieving husband is already unhappy about his wife spending so much time with these men in the congregation now they are telling her to follow direction to get fully vaccinated no matter what.
The GB have a lot to answer for.

Covid Vx likened to Jesus ransom
by KerryKing inthis morning i decided to log into the local cong meeting on zoom, during the public talk the speaker likened the covid vx to jesus ransom sacrifice, saying that those who didn't avail of the vx, the 'anti vaxxers', are just like people who refuse to put faith in jesus.. i felt sick, knowing my unvxed but active jw parents were sitting there, i logged off immediately.
surely such talk is pure blasphemy or am i just over reacting?!.
i appreciate your thoughts, it will hopefully help me to approach my jw family with facts and logic, i'm praying they wake up fully and 'get out of her', i know they have reservations that's why they refused the vx..

When it comes to following the word of the GB I don’t think anywhere is more lenient. The letter to all congregations said that every coordinator of bodies of Elders had to confirm that all appointed brothers were fully vaccinated.
I don’t think there were many congregations if any, who went against this direction from the GB.
I hear there were many elders who did not keep up with all the boosters and answered honestly that they were not fully vaccinated. Maybe some lied but I doubt it.
But all the appointed brothers who were not fully vaxed were NOT allowed to go to the in person Kingdom ministry school last year.
The next kingdom ministry school will be very interesting to see if they do a U turn on that direction. But as it stands the direction is still only fully vaccinated can go to any theocratic schools or volunteering for any project or to work at the branch.
whatever happens at the next KM school if they do a U turn or not, it will be what everyone is talking about as many brothers were not allowed to go last year as they made the wise decision not to get fully vaccinated.

JWLITE
by Teddnzo ineven elders can be part of the new jw lite brigade these days.
they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.
i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

There are those who used to be very zealous JWs who have slowed down to JWlite and then there are those who inform the elders they have become inactive this is a soft fade. From now on you just don’t give a thumbs up for a few months which is all you need to do to remain active.
Once you become inactive and stop attending you can inform the elders you are thinking of coming back then you get love bombed and treated so well. Why do this? Because having a vague hope in a solution to the worlds woes is better than no hope. Because everyone needs something to believe in. This is the dividend you keep getting paid. I have read a few books on this. Many people grow up with nothing, or just a vague idea of some kind of belief their parents had.
At some time of their life they ask the big questions like how did the origin of the universe come about was it design or chance?
I have seen it a few times where usually in mid life or sometimes later someone realises they need something to believe in, call it religion or call it a belief system or whatever. This helps you to be grounded.
So many who leave JWs or any other high control group feel lost, they don’t know where to go or what to believe in.
So the question is asked why invest in JW or other belief systems? Because it grounds you and gives you a sense of purpose and a hope.
I personally have experienced both that sense of being grounded and the sense of being lost. I now have found a middle ground where I don’t believe the JWs but I like the sound of JWlite.
I would like the community aspect of JWlite and all the love bombing when they think you may come back. And Im absolutely honest with the elders or anyone who asks me that Im still not sure if God exists or if the Bible is his word.
So they keep the love bombing and trying to get me to come back even though I grew up in the congregation but I’ve been out for a long time.
This is what I suggest to others now. Don’t leave in a hard exit which means you will be shunned. Just inform the elders you have become inactive. This does not warrant shunning. This is a soft fade. Then after a while you tell them you are possibly thinking of coming back and you get love bombed and all the advantages of being part of the congregation. You can milk this indefinitely

Just had a thought…
by Vidiot ini been reading quite a few experiences on reddit lately, and their seems to be a common theme coming up….
…dialed-up-to-eleven shunning of xjws by their witness relatives.. it reminds me of back in the day, listening to some of the over-the-top vitriol displayed by hard-core loyalists when the topic of evolution or apostates came up….
…i was gobsmacked when i finally realized these guys weren’t offended and indignant because they thought it was lies….

Why would you invest in Watchtower when you have to continue paying into the investment and have yet to see one dividend? This is your Time, and money, your life. What do you have to show?
But they would say the dividends would be the positive results in their lives whether it would be having given up cigarettes or drugs, or anger control, wife beating, sexual immorality, or even not having an anticipation that there's a solution to the world's woes

Yes that last one is very important, having a hope in a solution to the worlds woes. Because everyone needs something to believe in. This is the dividend you keep getting paid. Grant Davies gives some guidance when choosing a religion.
"Like any religion, Watchtower may produce fine subjective reasons why they are the only true religion. Like any religion that’s where their credentials end.
If you really must have a religion in your life then choose one without caveats and high control.
Choose one which doesn’t tell you what you should wear at meetings.
Choose one which doesn’t repeatedly ask if you’re doing enough.
Choose one which doesn’t keep changing its mind when it fails.
Choose one which doesn’t tell you what your facial hair should appear like
Choose one which doesn’t wish to prevent your children going to higher education
Choose one which doesn’t tell you as a married couple, what is an acceptable bedroom practice and what isn’t.
Choose one which allows you to watch Harry Potter and the Smurfs if you wish.
Choose one that allows you to openly discuss with other members things which may not appear to correct teachings.
Choose one which isn’t swamped with accusations of multiple child sex abuse cover ups.
Choose one which doesn’t try to tell you who you can and cannot mix with socially.
Choose one which doesn’t tell you which of your family members you can and cannot talk to.
Choose one which doesn’t weigh you down with a permanent feeling of existential dread.
Choose carefully.

Choose JWLITE where you can be physically in to the extent that you want to be and ignore all those things. Keep your life private and never answer any prying questions from the elders.
