I agree Bizzybee. Also its not what you know but who you know. If you are already accepted around the influential then youre more likely to get one of their cushy jobs.

the country will no longer be a place in which you can control your economic destiny.

For now...all hope has faded
by outsmartthesystem inmy wife asked me if i believe that christ came to power in 1914. sadly this question shows how little she knows even about her own religion as she knows the heart of my problems with the society start with the 607 bc debacle.
obviously no 607 means no 1914. alas....the conversation eventually morphed and it got to the point where i decided to ask her a point blank question.
what would it take to get you to realize that your religion is false?

When I was in I would push all of those 'iffy' things to the back of my mind. After some time though the cognitive dissonance becomes too heavy and weighs on your subconcious. I believe some 'facing it' has to eventually push through or youll go mad.
In my experience it made me sick, depression and anxiety, it got worse and worse till I faced it. It also helped to be in a cong with people I couldnt stand being around, it makes you not want to go to meetings or field circus, in the end youre just looking for an excuse to leave.
Finding out TTATT is the best guiltfree excuse to leave... ever!!

For so many people who have been abused and had it swept under the carpet by the elders, thankyou thankyou thankyou.
It must have been so hard to come forward, hopefully you have made it easier for others to get their justice too.
I would like to know how you stand in the cong now and how JWs have treated you, Im sure it cant be easy from that side of things either.

I hardly see Kendrick being able to pay up but hopefully the punitive damages will cause a dent in the WTBTS coffers. Wouldnt want to be in them elders shoes right now either... sucked in, stupid elders and WTBTS helped to ruin that girls life.
Keep em coming I say, all victims come forward today, lets lay it all out on the table and ruin these scumbags once and for all.
I hope the victim of this awful crime visits us on this forum someday and can see the huge amount of support she and all victims of sexual abuse and coverup by JWs have here.
