(For our non-JW guests) How to get rid of a JW using only two words.
by cedars inif creepy contact lenses, facial piercings and people who talk insanely fast (and over-use the word "legit") are not your thing, then don't watch this video!.
however, if those things don't bother you, and you're curious about the "nuclear" way to eject jehovah's witnesses from one's doorstep, this video explains how this can be done swiftly and effectively.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvc1yoydby.
i can actually remember at least a couple of instances where someone revealed they were gay on the doorstep to my partner and i and this didn't get rid of us immediately, but it did force us onto the back foot.

I love this guy!! He worked out JWs within minutes of meeting them! Judgemental and mental lol.
Yes totally agree with Steve2.

Jehovah's Witness Child Molester
by free2beme inmy best man at my wedding, twenty years ago, was someone i always trusted.
he was a friend for fishing, a friend who remained when i left the religion with my wife 15 years ago and although he was a bit issolated.
i kind of trusted him.

I am so hoping that the investigations into institutional child sex abuse here in Australia uncover some damning evidence against the JWs and the way they deal with these cases.
I hate this cult and hope all the sex abuse being uncovered is the start of their downfall. I hope more victims come forward and sue their asses.

How Long has it Been since you Last Attended Meetings and What Caused...
by flipper in..... you to stop attending ?
injustices ?
disagree with the teachings ?

I always hated it all. At 15 Id had enough, wanted to stop going to meetings so my parents kicked me out of the house.
I returned out of fear a few years later, I found myself obsessed with armaggedon and dying- just what they want!
I continued attending sporadically until at 38 late 2011 I learned TTATT.
What a relief to know its all a bunch of crap, at first I was heartbroken at all the lies I was led to believe. Now I am getting happier and feeling more free everyday, I finally value my life, Im not unworthy scum deserving of death at armaggedon, Im not going to 'kill' my children by my actions. Im no longer depressed.
I love this forum, I love TTATT.
Thanks for this thread Flipper!! xx

Wow, I seem to have made it out alright..
by GoodGuyGreg inhi, new member here, but i've lurked for a while.. for obvious reasons, i won't give too many details about myself, but i thought i'd share my story of what might in the end have been the easiest fade in recorded history.
it's going to be a wall of text, and i'm writing it mostly for myself to get it out of my system, but it is, of course, a pretty open forum, so any comments and most questions are welcome.. here goes:.
what made me realize ttatt was legalism.

Great story Greg, I hope it stays easy for you. My concern would be bringing home 'worldly' mates. May cause friction with your wife, tread carefully with your new associates so as not to make waves.

Ive made it quite clear that I do NOT like a particular elder in my town but the idiot still tried to 'friend' me twice!! Its obvious its just an attempt to spy on me and catch me out otherwise it would be his gossipy wife trying to 'friend' me. Im so far only 'inactive'. Fading can be tricky at times.

Back in the fold
by mariu ina few months ago, one of my best friends from uni times told me that his girlfriend of something like 20 years was leaving him.
she can't live with a non-believer...she wants to be a baptised jw.. i couldn't believe this crap is happening again.
turns out she grew up in a jw family, but parents separated when she was about 8 years or so.

Shes gonna make a great JW she has already shunned her own Mother, maybe she is right where she deserves to be?

Newbie alert
by Braehead innice to meet you all.
long time lurker, but now i can get my twopenneth in.. a brief history.. born into the religion, but it never really took hold - thankful for an easily bored mind and strong, worldly grandparents.. never very interested - dragged from meeting to field service.
in the teenage years i wanted university and my parents want a pioneer.

Hi Braehead, similar story here, parents lured in in their early 20's, Dad wanted to know Mum wasnt lonely while he was away in the Navy. I would love them to even ponder on some doubts about this cult but there will be no getting through to them, maybe dying from old age might make them wonder just what their life was for?? Sad sick cult.

Family in Ruins Lead to my Fade
by CADSkin inid like to give the reason i faded away from the wbts.
not for any personal reason other than the fact that i enjoy reading others heartfelt and very real experiences and feel it may help others.
my mom was dfd for being cheated on.

What a shocking story!! These men have no conscience or love, theyre just loving the power and authority DF gives them in their pathetic little lives. Im glad your Mum is out now and safe from all that mental torture.

reinstatement tries
by Honeybucket ini am looking for the reinstatement guidelines for someone who has been actively trying to get reinstated for 2 years and have put in a reinstatement letter 3x in those two years but was denied everytime.
are the elders just making an example of them, have they permenately been kicked out, or maybe these people dont want to come back and this story is part of their fade.. .
has anyone ever heard of people not getting reinstated.

I confessed to sex with an unbaptised publisher on numerous occasions. We had set a date for our Wedding. The JC said that if I went ahead and married him I would be DF.
They certainly do make up rules to suit themselves.
It took 2 years and a wedding with not one family member from either side or JW friend in attendance to get re-instated.
It has definitely shown me how conditional the love is in that cult.
Cant believe I ended up going back out of fear of armaggedon and wanting to see my Family again.
The elders that DF and our parents who said it wouldnt last can all go get stuffed, we have been happily married for 19 years most of that without the 'troof' or 'Jeehooba' in our marraige.
