  it was an opinion of someone that to be a divorced, single sister i. the organization was the lowest social standing you can have.

  why are they dispised?

  ( what if was a scriptural divorce where husband cheated?

  Paul was harsh concerning the bloke who was sleeping with his father's wife. And the congregation took his words to heart. In 2 Corinthians, Paul seems to revisit the situation and suggests that the congregation are overdoing the church discipline. That the subjects of that discipline are showing signs of repentance and yet the congregation are still treating them badly instead of showing forgiveness and acceptance.

  Unfortunately, the WT is only aware of the first point, and not the counterpoint, in their application of church discipline.

  In its early days, marriage itself was frowned upon by the org. So I guess failed marriage was even more abhorrent in their eyes. And women have always been the org's whipping boy. So they are not going to be fair to women, if there's a chance of exercising prejudicial pressure.

  are we living in the prophetic last days that will climax into armageddon?

  if this is true then how long should it take?

  as jw saw it, wt compared timing to within a generation using 70 ad as a parallel.

  Aftermath of being Reinstated

  i'm in the process of being reinstated ( my df'ing story is on here).

  because i've never been in this position before, i don't know how i will be treated once i'm reinstated.

  i moved to a new city/state and i don't know a single person here or in my new congregation i am attending.

  They keep a file of your sins and send it to whatever congregation you move to?? What happened to Jesus's demand that you forgive your brother seventy times seven times?? 😱🙄

  Is that kind of record keeping legal under the various data protection acts?

  I saw the whole video through. If that lady has a legitimate complaint against Tony Morris, then talking to the security guard at a gated community is hardly the way to go about it. What she accuses TM3 of is a crime, pure and simple. She needs to tell the police.

  So is this the smoking gun?

  If so, how did they think they could cover it up? It's the equivalent of the pope being accused of CSA! If this is true and they're trying to make it go away, you might as well stick a fork in the WT; it's done!

  I agree that she doesn't seem like a troll. Just someone who is shellshocked and trying to make sense of a bad situation. And let's face it, with all the dfed and apostates here, where else is she going to get real answers to her questions? Certainly not from those who threw her under the spiritual bus! If she's sincere, she's turning to the only people who may be able to help her.

  Unfortunately, she wants to go back and most people here would never encourage her to. It's paradoxical on her part: if she is reinstated, she will be expected to shun the very people she is asking for advice. But I'm not blaming her too heavily. Cognitive dissonance is a very real thing in cultic environments, and this board is one of the few places where she might get some personal support. She certainly won't get it back in the Kingdom Hall.

  Bad phrasing on my part. You are physically in, in that you still attend the Kingdom Hall, hoping for reinstatement. But does disfellowshipping mean that you can't do the door to door work?

  So in that sense, you're physically out?
