Given that (from what many people have posted here) JWs are taught to disdain outsiders (or "The World") and even fellow JWs who are "less spiritual", I wouldn't be surprised if manners weren't a high priority in Dubdom. (I've met plenty of nice JWs, though)

There's a limit of two new posts a day. Trying to put another one through will just clog up the system. I ended up with four duplicate threads when I first started posting here. Post only two new threads a day and wait 24 hours before trying again.

"a thousand hungry piranhas can and will fuck up your shit way worse than one big-ass shark."
A very astute observation! 👍 With one small flaw: that metaphor has predator and victim in the wrong positions...
But it's nice to see the 'Tower being devoured one bite at a time 👍

DesirousOfChange: "I believe they have plugged the hole in the dike by taking extreme measures if there is even a "hint" of any kind of misconduct involving a child"
Do they now encourage the elders or the parents to call the police, or do they still insist on the two witnesses rule? If not, what's changed?

Doctrines and Bible Interpretations
by IWant2Know ini would like to know if ex's and formers who are not church christians, believe that many of jws' doctrines and bible interpretations are correct, or do you feel that they aren't?

Elderberry, JWs aren't the only ones who entertain the possibility that Michael could be Jesus. Here is a SDA article: https://www.adventistbiblicalresearch.org/materials/is-michael-another-name-for-jesus/
I'm pretty sure that I've heard Christadelphians refer to Jesus as Michael, which means that that is probably where Russell got the idea from. I also know of individual writers from mainstream Christianity who entertain the possibility. But it doesn't seem to be a tightly held doctrine in most denominations.

she was befriended by the older man that you see in the picture.

BoogerMan, the initials on the plane are JE, for Epstein himself, but I can certainly see what you're talking about! There's a certain subliminal feel to it, even though it can't in actuality be any more than coincidence.

slimboyfat (everytime I read your name, I hear "Weapon of Choice going through my head 😸): I thought if anyone could confirm that, it'd be you 👍
Jan, we mainstream Christians tend to refer to Jesus as "the Truth" (John 14:6), not our denominations.

I became aware of Angel Cruz and his "In Jehovah We Trust" scam when I was just looking up private currencies. I looked him up on here, and sure enough, there he is. The article I read didn't actually identify him as a JW, but apparently he was. So BTTT with this post.
BTW, he managed to avoid capture for some time. He wasn't caught until 2020.

I'm aware of the discrepancies, Seabreeze. My question is to mainly point out the logical shortcomings of what I understand to be the WT position. Or at least, what I've been told in discussions on my doorstep. 🙋 As someone who was never a JW, I could be wrong as to what they really say about it all. That being said, I feel like the WT has always been deliberately vague about how the new system is supposed to work. 🤔
