i guess it's too late to get much of the details of this story (outside of the official versions), but we ought not to lose it altogether.. so i'm committing to print what i know of this story, and hoping that somewhere out there will be someone else that knows more than i do, about one of the more exotic incidents in the history of the wts.

Well, this is a fascinating story. Which is why I brought it BTTT. Some insider information about the history of the Australian branch, as told by exes, of course, could be useful. It must have been reasonably important; Jaracz served there for a while. But the OP's fears that such histories would probably die without being told by those who were around in those days have probably come to fruition. 😔

Given that (from what many people have posted here) JWs are taught to disdain outsiders (or "The World") and even fellow JWs who are "less spiritual", I wouldn't be surprised if manners weren't a high priority in Dubdom. (I've met plenty of nice JWs, though)

Do they now encourage the elders or the parents to call the police, or do they still insist on the two witnesses rule? If not, what's changed?

I'm pretty sure that I've heard Christadelphians refer to Jesus as Michael, which means that that is probably where Russell got the idea from. I also know of individual writers from mainstream Christianity who entertain the possibility. But it doesn't seem to be a tightly held doctrine in most denominations.
