  i been reading quite a few experiences on reddit lately, and their seems to be a common theme coming up….

  …dialed-up-to-eleven shunning of xjws by their witness relatives.. it reminds me of back in the day, listening to some of the over-the-top vitriol displayed by hard-core loyalists when the topic of evolution or apostates came up….

  …i was gobsmacked when i finally realized these guys weren’t offended and indignant because they thought it was lies….

  I can't see a Samsonesque self-sacrifice by the GB. One, they're strike me as being pretty cowardly. They're great at having others make sacrifices, but aren't that keen on doing it themselves. Two, I imagine they have comfortable living quarters and their regularly provided dinners are probably pretty good. Not to mention the added privileges like flying first class to be chauffeured to a convention where everyone hangs on their every word, five star hotel accommodation, etc. Also not to mention, the special envelopes handed to them by visitors to Bethel.

  Let's face it, they have it pretty good and they probably believe in their lifestyle more than they believe in their eschatology. They'll knuckle down and do what the government wants*, as long as they can keep the lifestyle to which they are accustomed.

  *Remember, they dropped the sacrosanct door to door work, their main distinction, at the merest hint that the government might have a problem with it, during the lockdowns.

Being a corporation, the WT will still have a president. But with GB 3.0 hogging the limelight and seemingly making all the decisions, what exactly does the president now do?

  Canvassing sports events? Is this the next new light to expect: participating in team sports is okay? 🙄

  Turnabout is fair play: the local youth sporting groups should stand around Kingdom Halls (off the property, of course) and try to recruit young people for team sports. ⛹️🤾🏏⚾🏒🏈🥌

  the freeman brothers of allentown pennsylvania lashed out against their strict upbringing by killing their loyal jw parents and even their younger brother.. the story made national headlines because these two had tattoos on their foreheads.

  "berzerker" and "sieg heil.".

  In Agatha Christie's Ordeal By Innocence, the police inspector opines that the previous suspect was "a wrong'un". Basically morally flawed and destined for certain patterns of behaviour.

  These brothers may have been headed for some similar results, no matter how they were treated.

  hi does any body know if the watchtower are printing any new awakes etc as these past 8 months or so i have had magazines from four different carts from four different towns 100s of miles apart and the most recent magazines that they all had were from 2021..

  Remember when they were an impressive publishing corporation? And then they begrudged paying Caesar a small amount of sales tax. Now they hardly print any magazines and those that they do, they can't give away "for free".

  They'll never rescind the beard ruling, no matter how hairsute the congregation becomes.

  The most ridiculous thing about it is of how much of an issue it was and how it's change was shouted from the housetops like it was important. For Pete's sake, GB, it is just a few hairs sticking out of someone's face! They should never have had any sort of rigid policy on it in the first place.

  It's the shunning we're against. The family should be allowed to make up their own minds how to treat him, regardless of his WT membership status.

  Did he come forward to confess stuff, or were the elders snooping?

  As Balaamsass2 says, the WT needs to get out of the spy and cop business.

  we found one growing by a large brick building and picked some fruit last summer.

  Back to the original topic, quince paste is often a feature of charcuterie boards. I'm not sure if you could make your own quince paste, but it might be worth a try. 👍
