Has The WT Allowed Outsiders to be Saved?
by NotFormer inhttps://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/1734baj/they_just_had_a_huge_meeting/.
this reddit post suggests that the cessation of reporting hours isn't the only thing announced at the recent meeting.
can anyone in, or sufficiently well versed in jwdom confirm that the op's understanding of this announcement correct?.

Real reasons behind this change?
by Gorb injust a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.
a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?
maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

"Now that's gone, they can promote the low-hour guys to being elders."
Low-hour guys, who donate dollars 💰 rather than hours, who then become elders = Simony

"A good REPORT invigorates the bones." (Proverbs 15:30) 🤣🤣🤣
by BoogerMan inyesterday's annual meeting "report" was soooooooooooo invigorating!.
memories:.
km 1/97 p. 7 question box - why should we report our field service activity promptly each month?

I wonder how the R&F are feeling? Simply relieved? Shocked? Stunned? Totally confused, trying to understand the change? Abandoned? "We worked so long and hard for you, filling out your reports in minute detail, and now you don't even care anymore?"

No more REPORTING field service!!!!!!!!!
by BoogerMan inthis is going to break the hearts of a lot of uber-jw's!
reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

Will the fact that field service is now "personal ministry" change the requirement that witnesses have to always be in pairs?
Will PIMOs now be able to go out and preach whatever they believe the gospel to be, or outright dump on WT dogma, and still place a mark in the "Active" box?

Vidiot: "You know what this reminds me of? When they bumped the bookstudy.
That was unprecedented at the time, but eventually we found out it was because too many cases of child abuse had been happening in and around bookstudy environments…
…and that the Org’s charity status was under review because of it…
…i.e. their tax-exemption was at risk.
To avoid that without having to change their policies or have the real reasons publicized, they simply eliminated the environment.
Now… like the bookstudy, The D2D work has been - for intents and purposes - mandated…
…but recent intel has indicated that the number of kids who’ve been abused whilst being out in the D2D work has become uncomfortably high."
Are you suggesting that if they had implemented some robust child protection policies, not demanded that children be everywhere adults are and they hadn't so stubbornly enforced "the two witnesses rule", they could still have their book studies and also the door to door work, which they now seem to be jettisoning?

Things JWs Say That Don't Mean What They Think It Means
by NotFormer insometimes things don't come across the way the speaker intended.. years ago there was an ad by the whitegoods company fisher and paykel.
they showed them going to great lengths to get customer feedback on what was important to them.
one customer said that she wanted it to be easy to get her appliances serviced when they broke down.

Vanderhoven: "God always had an organization".
Which was God's organisation the year before Russell began preaching? 🤔

"Dan Clark is saying on SixSreens that its like they are closing shop,,maybe going out of business.
Not the exact words,,,but along those lines."
Given that the door to door work is their business, that's not a difficult conclusion to come to.

RonW. "If I was still a regular pioneer getting 90 hours a month in and I heard this I would have thought 'What is the bloody point of flogging my guts out when the rank and file can report miniscule ministry.'🤷♀️"
Perhaps they can start giving real recognition and appreciation to pioneers. Actually rewarding people who put in the effort.
BTW, how much drain-cleaner had Rutherford drunk to come up with "pioneer" as a class? It's reminiscent of Amway's Diamond Ambassador level.
