This Reddit post suggests that the cessation of reporting hours isn't the only thing announced at the recent meeting. Can anyone in, or sufficiently well versed in JWdom confirm that the OP's understanding of this announcement correct?

just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

I wonder how the R&F are feeling? Simply relieved? Shocked? Stunned? Totally confused, trying to understand the change? Abandoned? "We worked so long and hard for you, filling out your reports in minute detail, and now you don't even care anymore?"

Will the fact that field service is now "personal ministry" change the requirement that witnesses have to always be in pairs?

Will PIMOs now be able to go out and preach whatever they believe the gospel to be, or outright dump on WT dogma, and still place a mark in the "Active" box?

Are you suggesting that if they had implemented some robust child protection policies, not demanded that children be everywhere adults are and they hadn't so stubbornly enforced "the two witnesses rule", they could still have their book studies and also the door to door work, which they now seem to be jettisoning?

sometimes things don't come across the way the speaker intended.. years ago there was an ad by the whitegoods company fisher and paykel.

they showed them going to great lengths to get customer feedback on what was important to them.

one customer said that she wanted it to be easy to get her appliances serviced when they broke down.

Perhaps they can start giving real recognition and appreciation to pioneers. Actually rewarding people who put in the effort.

BTW, how much drain-cleaner had Rutherford drunk to come up with "pioneer" as a class? It's reminiscent of Amway's Diamond Ambassador level.
