I have been reading Steiner's works for a couple of years. I would be very happy to discuss Steiner's works or thoughts on Waldorf Schools or the Anthroposophical Society with anyone interested or who has looked into this area.

Rudofl Steiner
by Brokeback Watchtower inrudolf steiner 1861-1925, developed eurythmy a performance art.
he wrote hundreds of books, a brilliant person in many fields from austria(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/rudolf_steiner).. steiner advocated a form of ethical individualism, to which he later brought a more explicitly spiritual approach.
he based his epistemology on johann wolfgang goethe's world view, in which "thinking… is no more and no less an organ of perception than the eye or ear.

John the Baptist has no heavenly hope?
by Ireneus injws teach that john the baptist would not inherit kingdom of heaven.
however, there are problems with this teaching.. john’s mother elizabeth was both barren and too old to conceive.
(luke 1:7) birth of john was an act of “holy spirit.” (luke 1:15) then we find jesus saying: “among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than john the baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven [“kingdom of god,” luke 7:28] is greater than he.” (mathew 11:11; luke 7:28).

To understand John the Baptist you need to explore the esoteric. John the Baptist was the greatest consciousness that the old Law based ways would produce. After the death of Jesus a new consciousness enable a new creation and this would produce greater and higher consciousness. There is only evolving consciousness and we incarnate to experience this evolution until we reach the Human being that God's had in mind and created in their image.

I feel like I am going crazy at times ...
by CovertsadJW ingood evening , .
i feel like i am going crazy - it’s so hard not being able to talk to the ones i love about how i really feel - meaning the “ truth “ is a big lie and a big waste of time.
it’s so weird - i can’t talk to my wife , or kids about how i really feel and it’s causing me probalms that i recognize.

As you will have discovered on the path to your current situation - there is no easy answer. I have been stuck in a very similar scenario for many years and at times have felt desperate. I try to see the situation as one that can be for learning, I have learned how to show compassion and tolerance. I also have had time to look at the consequences of the years invested in a high control group and not just to run away or avoid learning from this. I too would to have more peace and less feelings of going crazy.

What was your trigger to waking up ?
by CovertsadJW ingood afternoon , .
i wanted to ask everyone here , what was your trigger to waking up ?
i have been waking up for a long time , but in looking back it’s hard for me to look at one event and say “ ah ha “ , i think mine is like a slow leak - like a crack in a damn - and then hold on , because after that it’s just a flood of information.

Two things woke me up.
1. The Kingdom Ministry insert about blood fractions, which was around 2002 I think. This opened up so many issues for me about the blood policy particularly as I served in helping on the patient support team of the HLC.
2. The Panorama TV program about child abuse handling and my family experience and later dealings as an elder.
My waking up was the most painful experience of my life and the pain still arises. I am most grateful for the internet and early brave individuals who helped to provide information.
The most useful book I read, early on, to help me get answers and some structure was The Crisis Of Conscience.

Anointed Delusions of Grandeur
by Kohanic inso here is something i've been wondering about.
how do the 'anointed' come to the conclusion that they are chosen?
is it some weird collective delusion of grandeur and how is it manifested in such ones?.

When we have faith in Christ and take up our life looking to him as our King and Shepherd I think that this person could be said to have heard the voice of the Spirit and that his own spirit calls out "Abba, Father". If we are waiting around for an audible voice or some form of spiritual ecstasy then we will have been confused.
The problem for us is that we have allowed ourselves to be confused by a teaching of 144,000 number with a little flock going to heaven and a great crowd living on earth. This teaching is a result of materialist thinking which cannot understand spiritual matters and like the pharisees 'shuts up heaven'.
Many throw the baby out with the bath water because they cannot get past a materialistic viewpoint on the scriptures. This is a stage we can pass through with effort in challenging our thinking. Faith is not a possession of all it can only be cultivated in freedom. Now that we have gained a measure of freedom from religious dogma we can, if we want, move on to Christ like faith.

Inside Story Logo
by MrHappy inthis may have been covered before but have you noticed the logo design of the "inside story" on this months video the 143rd gilead graduation.
it appears as a pyramid containing the masonic symbol of the compass and square, with this reflected below the text.
the art pieces on the shelf are also interesting and maybe someone has some thoughts on these.

Punkofnice I don't know - that is a good question! A symbol would have no significance unless the viewers knew the meaning or could interpret it and I don't think that is what is intended for the JW viewer.
The format of the whole program is in my view strange. It is like a bad tv show and nothing like any other meeting item I have ever seen. I think most JW's would enjoy it and see it as fun and light entertainment / spiritually upbuilding and that is probably all it is?
However, I think that logos are quite meaningful pieces of art work that are not just cobbled together from stock art work or just appear on a page as some random doddle. It was put together with conscious thought and justification. It may be that the artist enjoyed pizza or quilt designs or a certain architectural style but that does not mean you use something for a TV set design or does it?
I appreciate your questions as it ensures that we don't get to conspiracy theory on these subjects and stay grounded.
Thank you

Thank you Hanged Man for your comments as you shared something very insightful.
I appreciate reading all the comments even the sarcastic ones from people who may have left the organisation but still have not left their sanctimonious know-it-all attitudes behind toward other peoples questions and comments. Maybe some people never learnt the true meaning of tolerance and compassion or could learn to accept a different viewpoint from their own?
