Need Help fleeing my country

heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts.. in planning for my escape from the borg, i've come to the sad realization that the best thing for me to do considering factors like: breaking my parents and siblings hearts, lack of support groups, lack of counseling groups for cult survivors, and the prospect of finding a mate who shares my secular views on life, i've come to the realization that i need to leave my country and even my continent africa.
i know i sound desperate, but what can a brother do when all he can do is cry out for help or die in silence.

Witnesses and a plethora of Christian sects will continue to grow in sub-saharan Africa. That's for a fact. Misery fosters belief in paradise - heaven or earth, and God knows there is great misery out there. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, the witnesses would likely score far better than most in SS Africa.

Rationalize? In your question lies the paradox. Tony is human. That's it. And in the end, all he did was buy "expensive" alcohol, given his estate. Did he fail by his own standards? Perhaps, perhaps not. His standards have been proven to shift according to circumstances.

I hardly comment. Simon's take and other posters leaning that way is about the most balanced in this tragi-comedy. Most other posters have an axe to grind in whatever fashion they fancy. Perhaps it's catharsis, I don't know. But it feels sad. -

" even though i am registered as a republican, i don't really care for trump.
after reading the article, i still don't care for trump, but i had never considered many of the points brought out by the article.. january 17, 2018. what i learned in the peace corps in africa: trump is right.

Quite a pathetic article and even more pathetic responses, mostly coming from people who know so little about "Africa", or who think Africa is one country. It is so very sad that a stay in one rural African community can serve as the only brush to paint a whole continent in one dark stroke. Please do visit Africa, not just one "fecal territory" before you come up with some of the terrible and reinforced biases that have come out of many comments I have read so far (women prostituting to have a few coins to feed their families, a continent happy to practice excision, men lazying about all day and leaving the bulk of work to women, gay bashing - as if that is exclusive to Africa, etc.). I lived eleven years in North Africa; I now live in West Africa. I have visited and worked in well over thirty African countries. Yes, there are challenges facing African countries but a little bit of deeper knowledge without racial biases would go a long way to understanding why some parts of Africa are where they are today. Better still, it will open eyes as to why so many other sections of African society are forging ahead without people stealing to give to their extended families (what idiocy) or defecating on highways.

this spring, two of them took a liking for each other and teamed up.
for a couple of weeks, extensive construction work was jointly done and resulted in a nice little nest, undoubtedly a cosy home for the small family which expected to multiply.
