Jennifer Aniston's dad is Victor Kiriakis on Days of our Lives. At least he was until they killed his character...and then brought him back...I think he died again though?
Sorry, that's all I could come up with...
i was watching jeopardy in the kitchen, while cooking a little while ago, and found out that norah jones' father is ravi shankar.
i had never heard that before.
interesting.

just returned from a rather harrowing trip to nome, alaska!
seems every flight i was on was full and all kinds of weird stuff happens when their over-booked.
half way from anchorage to nome the plane suddenly turns around and heads back.
Bicker Chick
Hee hee hee...that's funny.
Glad you made it home safe Todd. Great day in the PNW, eh?
i've had a thing against hearing about "end times prophecies" for some time now, no doubt as a reaction against what i had been raised with by the wts.. recently, however, i had cause to re-read luke 21 in "the message".. it suddenly struck me how we would always use matthew 24 to support 1914, but only dipped into mark 13 and luke 21 occasionally.
you may remember the "tote" watchtower in 1995 (?
) which was used to dismantle the "generation" teaching we'd all previously believed, but there was no parallel study from luke.
Wow Ross, this thread is moving along...
Steve and I were just discussing Matt 24 the other night. Shocking isn't it? The eruption of Mt St Helens along with all the earthquakes and hurricanes brought it up. I figure the dubs are peeing their pants with excitement.
I basically ended it with "who gives a ****?" Now that's not so shocking.
do you go out and party?
do you just relax and veg??
knowing you don't have to get up for saturday service or a sunday meeting, how does that affect your weekend nights?
this weekend I will see a benefit concert for ST Judes Hospital (Mark Chestnutt)....
Nice, I like him.
We usually stay in. With kids you just can't party much. When we didn't have kids, we were dubs and didn't party much. LOL...
Tonight we are going to dinner with Mulan and dad. Then we'll put the kids to bed and watch a DVD. Whooohooo!
I have to be careful because I usually go for a long run on Sundays as I'm training for a marathon. I can't overindulge in anything and need to sleep. This week I'm running Monday since Steve is participating in the cycling club's last ride of the season/year. I can't ride due to the training so I'm staying home with the kids. Plan to do some yardwork.
We are mostly boring but enjoy our lives just the same.
Next weekend is the October 'fest with Bisous and Odrade. That will be a bit different. I still have to be careful not to overindulge but I can do a bit more than usual. It's a cutback week in my training and I only have to run 6 miles which I'll do before we head to Oregon.
y'all will probably hear on national news that mt.
st. helens (60 miles n of portland, or-my home) erupted today.
lot's of sensational news for what appears to be a fart.
Damn that's cool. Sad about the devastating affects to the land though. I've been up several times and am still amazed at the re-growth amidst all the dead trees and such from the 1980 blast. It's a truly amazing thing to see and I encourage anyone who visits the NW it's well worth the drive to see the mountain and visitor's centers. (there are at least three heading up the mountain)
I'm just kicking myself for not going up there last week. Nothing to see I know, but cool to be up there anyway. We were at my mother-in-law's in Castle Rock...the town at the base of the drive up.
I haven't had the TV or radio on all day. I'll check it out.

I don't even know who he is. So you aren't the only one.
Some people don't know that you are my mom.
I did know the Angelina Jolie/John Voigt connection though. They aren't close.
as most are probably aware, on a tuesday evening there has been a regular attempt to send ian (dansk) energy, positive vibes, healing light, and prayers.
i have to say that i've been astounded at the response (in a positive way!)..
ian reports that it's helping .
I don't think he meant to put more effort into the actual healing/meditation/prayer but into the number of people who make an effort on that day. I know personally I have a hard time on that particular day because 5pm is the time I have to leave to take my daughter to hula. I'm not able to concentrate on sending healing energy to Ian while driving so I usually miss out. However, once a month I can make an effort and change my plans a bit.
mega heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow.
i mean, really, really, stupendously heavy rain.
rain of mental proportions.
He's here in Seattle, migrating back and forth to Oregon I believe.
.
as a stay-at-home mom, i can occasionally find a few minutes every few days to play on the computer, but the amount of activity on this forum during us working hours is pretty surprising.
folks from other parts of the world notwithstanding, how are you american members able to post during work hours?.
While Steve is out plumbing, I'm at home answering the phones, keeping the books and general housework along with shopping and marathon training and trying to start a personal training business. I keep an eye on the board in between all that stuff.
Rachel
just heard it on the news.
it's a nice sunny, clear day, and they are saying it isn't a major eruption.
wind is going to the south so we won't get any ash.
I'm sure there is a red pool somewhere in there. I've heard them referring to the "lava dome" though so I know it's got a bit of the red in it.
