Ross:
It was the salt and spices that got me thinking "jerky". I swear I'll never eat jerky again without thinking "placenta". I also will never carry a red velvet bag of ANY kind.
Did you notice the Indian culture tended to treat it with curries? Mmmmm....curried placenta. What kind of spices would americans use? BBQ sauce? Garlic salt with parsley? A-1 steak sauce? Ketchup? Oh the possiblities are endless.
Whoohoo! A new topic of conversation at dinner tonight!
Nice avatar BTW, except I keep thinking you're laughing at me.

Very good question Ross, one I hadn't pondered.
I'm still trying to get the terms "placenta bag" and "meaty smell" out of my head. So far it's not working.
The only thing I'd consider sprinkling salt on while it's still moving is a slug.
.
were orange haired people thought to be from some tainted lineage?
just curious jez
why is it socially aceptable to put ginger people down based on the hair colour they were born with
Ginger people???!!! LMAO! Now I have a new name for my ENTIRE family (but mostly just my brothers).
Never heard them called "ginger".
Around here we have an organization called NAARP. National Association for the Advancement of Red haired People. So far we have four members, and a kick-ass college fund for the youngest two.

when i was a kid in the seattle area in the late '70's, i heard this rumor told many times: before all his concerts, john denver would ask if there were any jehovah's witnesses present, and then ask them all to leave(of course whoever was telling the story knew of someone who had experienced this first hand).
also, johnny carson confronted him about it on the tonight show once(carson often figured into the jw/celebrity rumours i heard as a kid), and when denver admitted that it was true, johnny asked him to leave.
apparently, several witnesses worked on his show and this greatly offended him.
I heard it exactly as you said. Of course, I grew up in pretty much the same circle as you. I also heard Danny's version with the national anthem.
I have a JD collection right here on my desk. Reminds me of when I was a little girl. My cousin lived with us and played his music all the time.
Nice to see you 6669. Oh, and happy almost birthday.

since neil and i are a little on the tight side financially lately, we've taken to renting movies more often to entertain ourselves.
the other night we watched "riding giants" a documentary on surfing.
if you haven't watched it, it's a must see...even if you don't appreciate the sport you will after watching it.
LOL. I confess.... I'm drinking a giant expresso right now made from a good French dark roast. So gooood. Expresso Machines rule! regards,
OK, since I'm a snob I'm going to point out that it's eSpresso. The Incredibles is great. We have it. Last week I rented Racing Stripes for the kids. It was very entertaining and pretty funny too. If you haven't seen Holes, I highly recommend it. Great movie, as is Finding Neverland. I have Team America for tonight after the kiddos go to bed. I love anything by the South Park guys. I get Netflix so always have movies around.
we had a very interesting weekend to say the least.
my daughter, my neice , youngest son and friend all went to a listen to a band.
i don't know what musical catagory to put the band in but alternative rock.
Now my own daughter is very similar to how I was. Fortunately (I think) they now make the teen styles in sizes for a 6-8 year old! Zoe loved the frills (we still have a closet full of princess dresses) but now dresses like a teen. Last night at Maybes' wedding she wore a long black strappy dress and heels. She is six. She looked beautiful though. I had a dad at school ask me how I got her talking like a teenager. I told him I didn't do anything special. I have always talked to her like a person, not a baby and she responds as such. She is always asking for new music. She wants JoJo right now. No idea but will find it on Napster and check it out.
My son only wears t-shirts with weird pictures (Yu-Gi-Oh! and other gross creatures) and pants. Not jeans. He likes the ripstop fabric and pockets. Skater shoes and he is good to go. It was tough finding something appropriate for a wedding for him. I should have planned it better and gone shopping for something plain! He's 8.
Now she is a little more daring, baring her midriff and looking really good that way, if I do say so myself.
Thanks. I don't have elders controlling my dress anymore so I can finally wear what I like. I'm pretty well set with a tank top and shorts/jeans/skirt. My uniform.

For us movie snobs there is "City of God." For the rest of you there is Adam Sandler. lol.
You can't be dissing Adam. At least you know a snob when you see one.
