  i just tried to go to the site and there is a goodbye message.

  i was a member there since 2010. i was really surprised.

  i had just started posting there again after being away for a while.

  Designer Stubble, that would be really wonderful. And I think everyone would respect your decision to shut it down much more if you guys could show us you care enough to let us say our goodbyes. Thank you for proposing the idea! Much appreciated!!

  i was surfing jw recovery .com, all of the sudden a screen came up that says .

  jehovah's witness recovery.

  after much consideration, we have decided to move on to other things, and bring this site to a close.

  Yeah, I was pretty upset about it closing to. I completely respect the owners rights to shut it down, I just also wish there could have been some warning. I'm in a somewhat more sturdy place in my recovery right now, but there were many there who were still fragile and I worry about them feeling abandoned with it being shut down like it was. I just wish there could have been some warning. I completely understand being worried about backlash, but you are still getting backlash this way too. At least if there had been some warning, people could have said their goodbyes and exchanged info if they wanted to stay in touch with each other.

  Anyways, what's done is done. I wish the owners nothing but respect and happy lives :) And I do appreciate the forum even being there in the first place. It was extremely instrumental in my recovery and I'll miss it dearly.

  Hi everyone! This is my first post here. I was AutmnCoffee at JWRecovery and I was really sad to try and go there this morning to find it shut down :(

  I respect the owners rights to shut it down, but I really loved that place. Even when I didn't post, it was a place of comfort I could keep up on and see that I'm not alone in my struggle.

  But this place looks great too and I plan to look around here.
