None of these were "banned".
I clearly remember getting a "banned" list in the late 1980s. All the teenagers in our KH huddled around to see what was on that list.
coz it teaches that life exists on other planets.
grease.
think it was banned in a watchtower.

or so says ronald weinland;.
may 27, 2012april 29, 2012. as readers of this site know, may 27, 2012, is the time that i have stated as being the date jesus christ will return as king of kings over all government on this earth.
for such an event to come to pass, the trumpets of revelation must all sound, the united states and dollar collapse, the ten nations of europe arise to fulfill the final revival of the holy roman empire, and russia with china must unite against europe in wwiii.. .... http://www.ronaldweinland.com/.
I just purchased my tee-shirt "I survived May 27 2012".
today's study article, "do not look at the things behind," from the 3/15/12 study edition, which was reviewed by blondie in her thread, has a footnote on paragraph 12.. the original-language word here translated refuse.
also meant what is thrown to the dogs,.
dung, excrement.
"One Bible scholar" :- I see the Watchtower's standards for proof of doctrine haven't changed. Yet if you've been raped, you better have at least two witnesses.
did you ever see those parents with kids on leashes at conventions?
i always disliked it and thought it was wierd/lazy...granted i have never been a parent so maybe i dont know.
video reminded me how silly/messed up those leashes are.. .
I think they're conditioning the kids for the mental leashes they'll have till they leave home.
back in 1993 maybe 1992 there was an awake magazine about reposesed memories.
this magazine realy caused a stir in the congegations.. doese anyone have any info on it or better yet a pdf or a link that i can see it?
thanks.
I'm reading the link now. One thing caught my eye in the article was: "A person who actually abuses a child sexually is a rapist and should be viewed as such."Wouldn't they be a peadophile?
if you were raised in a home with a jw parent and a non-jw parent: a few questions.. i am going to be addressing the international cultic studies association (icsa) in july at the conference in montreal.
my focus is on 3 groups.
the third group consists of people people who grew up in homes where one parent was a jw and the other wasn't.
so i had a good conversation wth my brother, who i thought was a devout jw.
he eventually asked "are you going to the meetings?
", i said "no" then he said "why not, you know we're near the end".
I too was told I was ready for baptisim at 12, what does a 12 year old know? I was able to answer all the baptisim questions cause of all the indocternation I recieved from my early childhood till the age of 12, but was I ready to dedicate my life to an orginization??
They tried that on me too, at age 14. I always got the answers wrong because I wasn't interested in getting dunked.
i knew this party was too good to last, some inquiring mind is a troll (yes, here on jwn we have moles!
), i think we have a rat here!
i don't feel like "apostate material" and i am not the only one who is going down for this offense!
We had a big spit at our KH because an elder's brother was DF'd. Apparently the elder's brother took his PC to get fixed at a local computer store where a JW works. The JW found something (rumor was apostate material or porn) on his PC. The elder left the cong because he beleived his DF'd brother was innocent.
Perhaps the leak is closer to home (someone looking at your history).

A relative of mine used to save us seats, even though they were all told not to.
You could never get a good seat, and the venues were always too small to seat everyone.
And the love you'd express when someone came in late and asked the whole row to move up two seats.
Then there's the loving brother's and sisters who constantly kick the back of your chair.
It's all love.

I know there are quite a few who are trapped because of family ... etc. But what surprised me the most was when my brother said he knew 5 others having doubts about 1914.
Personally I think there's a significant percentage (10-20% or more) of JW publishers who are having serious doubts about 1914 overlapping generations. And the fact they're talking about their doubts with other (non-elder) JWs.
