Some of you aren't going to like this news, but here goes...
by AndersonsInfo inrick simons, candace conti's attorney, will be interviewed on the six screens of the watchtower conference phone line this evening.
there's a good chance that candace will join in, but that's not set in stone.
the host of the program, rick, told me to tell everybody that he is learning how to calm down and to do better on these conference calls.

by Dudu inyes, this month is the presidential election in my country and im going to exercise my right of voting .......... what im not sure about is if i let mom know, she is still a jw and im basically fading so, i dont want to mess it up, but at the same time i feel that i shoul be free for once and all.

US Politics - please read
by Simon inwe're already being innundated with the drivel that is the us political process.. propaganda, right and left.
no one wants to discuss or debate, they just want to shout in each others faces.. so, here's the rules:.
you can discuss politics as long as you are discussing things.if you just post copy-and-paste propaganda it will be deleted.if you post it in anywhere but the politics area it will be deleted.if it's the inane "obama can't prove he was born" or "romney is an alien" crap then it will be deleted.if you repeatedly violate the above, including trying to get threads shut-down, then you will be deleted.this has been a public service announcement on behalf of the "i dont' give a shit, the government always gets elected" party.. .

Thinking is not necessary, must check brain at door before entering. But in all fairness, most people are never taught to think critically.
A few months back my son thanked me for teaching him when he was very young, to not just accept everything that was told him, but to reason on and weigh all the various factors about an issue. A small compliment but sincere, assured me that I did one important thing right in his upbringing. Has heped him to see the nonsense of the borg.

Anybody here vegan?
by Dagney ini've been considering it for awhile strictly for just general overall health.
i don't take any meds, and would like to keep it that way for as long as i can.
i am a "all things in moderation " type of person but the more i read about excluding dairy and meat, the more i think about doing it.

Best that I can do is to limit my meat consumption. But for the past couple of years have eliminated all fast-food. Takes a lot of planning.
I listen to a local Pacifica radio program occasionally on being Vegan, and are those guys tough! Not only food, but no animal product usage whatsoever. Don't think I could go that extreme.
Google info on "Slow Food Movement", interesting idea, I kinda like their style.

Dagney: Is your topic concerning veganism or being vegetarian?
Living in Texas, both are legislated against. Ha!

Songs that are atmospheric
by FlyingHighNow inthis is a song thread that will take a little thought.
i'd like for you to share songs that sound atmospheric and conjure up feelings of night air or a smokey room, the energy of the ocean's roar or capture the joy of a party or celebration.
the songs can be transportive and take you other places by their sound and the visuals they evoke from the stories they tell.. my first one is from tim mcgraw.
