I would need extraordinary evidence. I would try to do anything he asked. I tend to be polite to everyone. I pay my taxes and obey governmental laws so why wouldn't I do what the ultimate authority tells me.

The biggest mistake JW's make is their thinking that it is wrong for Christians to eat blood. If you address THAT issue the transfusion question is finished. That's why the scripture I quoted from Mark above needs to be included in the arsenal of those dissenting watchtower blood policy.
Too many x-jw really think that it is wrong to eat blood. They haven't figured out that Christians are not under the Mosaic food restrictions.
Am I alone on this or do some of you see what I'm getting at.

Jesus said that no-thing (blood is a "thing" ) that enters the body can defile it. Mark 7:13-19.
The point is made at the end of this in vs 19 "Thus he declared ALL foods clean."
It is OK to eat blood. It is a nourishing food. Christians are not under food restrictions_ except if it could stumble someone with a weak conscience.
I am baffled why this scripture isn't used by those who would like to discredit the flawed reasoning of the Watchtower Pharisees. It neatly puts the whole issue into perspective.
No need to define what "eating" is. No need to compare intravenous feeding with oral ingestion.
It makes it possible to read Acts 15 and realize that the request ot abstain from blood was an effort to placate Jewish Christians and make it possible for Gentiles to share meals with their Jewish brothers.

They have two options. 1. Give up the erroneous blood doctrine and lose their control 2. Dig in with hope that either Armageddon will rescue them or a technological break through comes along with an oxygen carrying replacement for red blood cells.
The obvious choice is DIG IN.

The Watchtower Org knows the power of reading information that challenges your beliefs. Most JW's left their families religion when they read Watchtowers critical of their religion. It works both ways.
You can't stop it. Information is all around us. The fact that they keep harping on the internet shows that they know its their weak spot.
IF nothing happens by 2014 (centenial of "Christs Return") they will break up into various dissenting groups.
