i understand that we ask for our prayers to be answered through jesus name as jesus is the amen.many will give a different answer to this question from the trinitarian/non trinitarian viewpoint.jesus says here that he will answer your prayers if you ask in his name.

does this mean it is ok to request from jesus during the prayer.

You need to liberate yourself from ALL magical thinking. I have never really had an unambiguous answer to a prayer. I have had things turn out exceptionally well after praying and I have had things descend into a tragic hell after praying.

Humans easily believe in the "follows after therefore caused by" fallacy.

Some people pray and the rapist gets scared off. Others pray and the rape proceeds.

coming out of jws, one of the most thorough studies i have done is on the topic of human organization.

i have been very careful with this study for two reasons: (1) if human organization is important, then "where else do we go?

" is an important question whether or not that is the question peter asked jesus; and (2) if human organization is not important, it allows us to see christianity, fellowship, and our personal relationship with christ in a whole new way.. i set out to determine whether human organization was necessary (and therefore, important), not to prove that it is unnecessary.

You can't believe what the Bible says about Holy Spirit anymore than anything else in the Bible. Evolution teaches that organization is intrinsic to life - especially in primates. Our very existence is dependent on organization.

People have to remember that organizations are just tools.

When these scriptures were written people viewed a powerful kingdom had wealth to purchase goods from distant lands. It is a picture of vassal kings paying tribute to a powerful and influential leader.

Are they the same? It doesn't matter. They certainly are similar.

Dubs that defied the blood ban?

do you know of any jws that have left the wts or were dfed because of the blood issue defying the blood ban and taking blood for themselves or their children so that they wouldn't die, needlessly of course?

we hear much about dubs that were brainwashed enough to go on to the bitter end but there must be many that pulled out of the insanity.

even so some may feel plagued by guilt and anxiety for defying the ban.

I know a woman who had a child with an unbelieving husband. If she were to die her son would have been raised by worldly people. She needed a heart valve and at that time it required blood. She had the surgery. She was disfellowshipped. She was reinstated. She raised her son to be a JW.

She needed another valve late in life. She had the operation without blood and died.

The situation in Revelation 21 parallels some statements in Daniel 7:27,28

The Bible does not agree with the Watchtower scenario for the institution of Kingdom Government on Earth.

It appears that the Holy Ones emerge from a conflict called the Great Tribulation which is centered in the third of the Earth that has benefited from selfish capitalism. It is the third of the Earth that includes the King of the North and the King of the South and its Revelation homologues (Wild Beast (Seventh and Eight head of which is Russia) and Babylon the Great (USA)).

Although the upheaval in the world order will affect everyone it will mainly devastate the privileged or Golden third. Daniel 7:11,12 "I kept on beholding until the beast was killed and its body was destroyed and it was given to the burning fire (Rev. 19:20) . But as for the rest of the beasts, their rulerships were taken away and there was a lengthening in life given to them for a time and a season."

The fact that this involves a lengthy process is seen at Dan.2:35 "And as for the stone that struck the image, it became a large mountain and filled the whole earth."

Members of this forum are celebrating the ineffectiveness of the preaching that JW's are doing. The low numbers are a sign that the preaching work is done.

Because of the worldwide brotherhood JW's can flee to safer havens with their "relatives" who live in lands perihperal to the devastation.

The hardened cadre of "Holy Ones" numbering around 6 million are actually a new nation. They are the same size as the average Nation in the United Nations. Like it or not they WILL take over world rulership as they obey the Universal Court.

Daniel 7:26,27 "And the Court itself proceeded to sit, and his own rulership they finally took away, in order to annihilate him and to destroy him totally. And the kingdom and the rulership and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the holy ones of the Supreme One. Their kingdom is an indefinitely lasting kingdom and all the rulerships will serve and obey even them."
