i had an opportunity to see skyfall in the theater yesterday.
it's almost as good as casino royale, with some parts of it being even better.
the opening sequence was a real thrill, one of the best.
I had such bad gas throughout the whole movie! The people beside me kept covering their noses while trying to lean away in the opposite direction. I kept giggling everytime it happend so I think they probably knew it was coming from me. It was great being on the delivering end of situation than the receiving end. Made me laugh. And the movie was great, regardless of my added self-entertainment! The little things in life, right?

i was thinking tonight about all the wierd stuff that i viewed as totally normal being brought up as a jw.... here's my list.... - eating broken easter eggs after easter was not a sin.
- your car always had to be clean in time for the co visit.
- being assigned to the car park at a convention, with a walkie talkie, meant you had powerful connections.. - the amount of lines and hand writing on your sunday watchtower, spoke volumes of your spirituality.
Having a 2 door vehicle is not showing the propper pioneer spirit.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. So excited! I watched most of season 2 by streaming it. Sometimes the connection was so slow I could only watch 10 seconds at a time and then had to 1 minute for the next 10 seconds to load. I felt like a ragging alcoholic cowering in the bathroom drinking listerine from the bottle while sitting on the toilet. It was a sad situation. If the person is not repentant over the gross sin, disfellowshipping action would be warranted. If the decision is to reprove, the reproof should be announced.
So if they find the abuser to be guilty, and he says he's sorry, they might just decide to publicly reprove him?! No legal action, no informing people as to why he's being reproved. Most people will probably assume the public reproval was because he got drunk at a get-together or something. Then the creep is still among the congregation like nothing ever happened.
It's transferring what little power the elders originally had, to the legal and service departments. At least the local elders have feelings for the ones in thier congregation, which makes it more likely for them to help. Now it's transferred to departments who only care about policy and protection of the Borg.

our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
Unesisary death. The watchtower's hands continue to be filled with blood while they continually claim innocence and wipe the blood on the hands of the victims.
So sad. I didn't know him, but it still brings tears to my eyes. For those of you here who knew and loved him, my thoughts are with you.

for me, i think it's that the witnesses teach they are god's spokesman.
they represent his "faithful & discreet slave"....and that they alone are expounders of the only truth and that if you disagree with anything they teach, you are considered worse than vomit.. it's unbelievable because these people are wrong so many times, it cannot be excused!.
as a witness, you must accept every viewpoint and if you (and your family) do not accept it all, hook, line and sinker, you are "apostates"!!!.
When the question would come up, 'How is so and so doing?' it has nothing to do with whether so and so was happy or not, whether they have a good family life, social life, whether they are successful in thier careers, whether they feel loved and accepted by friends and family, whether they have found meaning in thier life, and whether they're a good person or not. Instead, the question, 'How is so and so doing?' always seemed to mean, 'Are they going to all thier meetings? Are they getting the right amount of time in service or not? Are they reaching out for privelages?' For as long as I can remember, even when I was a full believer, I hated how everything about how a person was doing in life was dependent on 'spiritual' things. Not dependent on the things that really matter.
well.....i am now officially on the precipice of divorce.
it started last tuesday night.
my wife brings the kids home at 10:00 pm after the meeting....then dinner....then ice cream.
Its sounds like your mental health is in dire straits, as is your family situation. You NEED to see someone for help, psychologist, counseller, doctor, some professional who can get you feeling better. Without your mental health, you dont have the ability to act the way you need to in this tough situation. It really sounds like you have depression, through and through. And frankly, Im not surprised. Whether it's a genetic disposition, or simply becasue of your family situation, it is parralizing you, and that's the last thing you need in these difficult times. Don't be ashamed in getting help, its the most honerable thing you can do, helping yourself, so that you can help others. Those are my 2 cents, hope it helps. But I stand by those words, help yourself now, your worth it, so that you can help the ones you love. All the best.
