Though I am not, you are talking to many disfellowshipped persons on this very forum as you refer to us as underlings. Underlings we are not. We are the ones deciding to take charge of our lives and not take the crap thrown at us. Yes, it is difficult watching the hypocrisy but what do you expect to accomplish here if you feel contempt for us also?

Good Reasons To Hate Every Weak And Ex-Jehovah Witness.
by AuntConnie in1. my husband's time is finite, it's wasted on spouses arguing over money, sex or family mattters with stupid home visits.. .
i hate people's constant open hand for money, it's the weak individuals asking others to pull their weight.
my family worked extra hours instead of begging the strong members for district assembly money, cat food for seven cats or tiny little rag-a-muffins weiner dogs.. .

Well I understand the frustration of being used in the ministry. I drove my extra large suv every single day when gas was over $4 per gallon and spent $800 per month in gas which was rarely contributed to. I was the pioneer in high heels for 7 hrs. Married to an elder who was sleeping around. I have had a stable job and was always asked for money. Always. When I needed emotional support...nothing but abuse after the years I slaved and the thousands I put out never expecting to receive back. I finally had enough of the "love" and have never availed myself of anyone's services nor have I contributed. Done with it all. The many wonderful people on this forum have taken much abuse from the WTS and this is a great place to vent but please remember that most if not all of us don't want help from anyone in the org.

Perhaps I am not perceiving the real meaning behind this post but the venom and it's targets seem to be the wrong people i.e. the poor, the weak, the elderly and most amusing of all...ex jw's who avail themselve of none of the things mentioned. If that is not the aim I would appreciate a clarification please. Hate seems to be the undercurrent of the cult sadly, not outside of it.

MSN report on false end of the world predictions includes JW's
by joyfulfader ini thought this quote on msn regarding all the interest in end of the world stuff because of today's date 12/12/12 and the 21st as the end of the mayan calendar.. "figuring out when it all comes crashing down isn't easy, though.
the jehovah's witnesses, for example, have predicted the end of the world at least four times, only to be forced to backtrack.
".

what is also interesting about the article is that people can click on the highlighted part of the article and see the documented proof of the false predictions if one chooses to. most die hards would probably quickly close the link in face of the facts for fear of being "contaminated".

"Shepherd" book published online by National Broadcasting Agency in Norway!
by Boudica inwow, did not think this was possible... the whole shepherd the flock - book available + some of the late boe letters regarding child abuse policies and secrecy, published here by nrk (the national broadcaster in norway).. http://www.nrk.no/contentfile/file/1.10660993!2010_ks10-e3vedl%20til%20slutt%20%282%29.pdf.
wonder how long it will be before it is removed?.
and jw being top story, child abuse matters discussed from different angles.. well done to those who have been able to make nrk interested and give it full coverage!.

Do you miss "dressing up" for the meetings?
by dozy ini was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.
all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.
my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.

I did like dressing up. I probably pushed the envelope a bit by dressing in form fitting pencil skirts and often wore fishnets and boots with classic and unique jackets. At times I would even wear garters and thigh high stockings underneath just to feel an inner sexiness lol. At 6'2" in my heels I was hard to miss but no one ever messed with me lol. I was careful with skirt length and neckline but could hardly be referred to as a conservative dresser. I miss that part.
