As a pediatric hospice nurse for several years and a family member of 4 persons who used hospice I cannot tell you how invaluable their help was. As a hospice nurse we focused not only on the needs of the patient but those of the family. I have never worked with more a more caring group of healthcare workers. I am so sorry Roberta and my thoughts are with you and your mom right now. I hope you both receive the love, support and respect you both deserve during this very difficult time.

in one way i feel good about takeing care of myself and my mother who is on her dead bed in the room next to me.
mom has live with me since 2005 and started to make her journey to the other side on christmas day.

Thank you all so much. She has ordered Steve Hassan's books and I am letting her read my COC. The books r being delivered to my house. She says her husband seems to have his own issues but she is afraid to push the envelope now. They rarely have a family study but jgnat that is a great question. She actually signed up to be a member of this forum today!!! Yay!!! And just to reiterate...you guys r awesome. I know she will find great support here just as I have.

reinstatement tries
by Honeybucket ini am looking for the reinstatement guidelines for someone who has been actively trying to get reinstated for 2 years and have put in a reinstatement letter 3x in those two years but was denied everytime.
are the elders just making an example of them, have they permenately been kicked out, or maybe these people dont want to come back and this story is part of their fade.. .
has anyone ever heard of people not getting reinstated.

My very close friend several yrs ago got a technically unscriptural divorce (there was an emotional/minor physical relationship involved to cause it) and later eloped with a pioneer brother from a different state. They were immediately df'd and told there was no reinstatement possible until her ex husband remarried. That took 3 years and her sobbing thru every meeting. The elders told her they were committing adultery for their whole marriage while her ex was unmarried. Apparently their intimacy did not ever break the former marital bond.
