tater- i totally agree that force feeding that stuff is wrong. the guilt and fear is instilled from the beginning and is horrible. the violent images imposed on young ones in the name of the "truth" is sickening.

while many of you may disagree, the TMS and field service made me a really good public speaker and that has helped my career. i dont think i would have shut the door on the child. i would have listened to him read it and then tried to engage the father in a discussion about blood and his precious child's life. i would have been kind and tactful out of concern for the child. the child is not at fault for the choices of his parents and i think such a harsh reaction could backfire and the child remember being "persecuted" by an evil, wicked worldly person.

jookbeard- i would have loved to engage them in conversation but the timing was not good. my first question to the next one will be about the "loving" shunning policy.

A Message to Active Elders Lurking on JWN
by 00DAD inthere are really only a couple of reasons an active elder would be lurking here on jwn.. .
[if !supportlists]i. your ever growing doubts about the organization have led you here, or.

Thanks for the tip Phizzy but fortunately I could not care less if I was confronted. Anyone who would try is a true coward and hypocrite. But I know there r ones who do need to be careful for one reason or another. For those, better safe than sorry.

out of curiosity, how can one be outed by this forum? unless one confesses i would think it is all circumstantial and one could simply deny posting. dont they need actual witnesses?? those that tattle would then open themselves up to scrutiny for being here as well. doesnt make sense to me. i am all about theocratic warfare in reverse.

Great Show last night by Brian Williams on RockCenter
by dreamgolfer inbrilliant expose on scientology.
in many instances you can submit "jw" in place of their title.
however luckily the wtbts is bad, but not "as bad".

I wish my parents had been awake to see this. Sadly I think they would compartmentalize life as jw's and insist they r nothing alike and that Scientology is, of course a cult but not the org. It's that selective blindness...my parents r the only people I want to awaken because they r the only ones in my life now that consider anything the gb says is important.

He just said that most fade quietly but wasn't about to take that route. He decided to go big. Very familiar experiences already.
